The invention relates to a method to prepare a precursor for a polymer or to prepare a polymer, the polymer comprising at least one unit of formula (I) or at least one unit of formula (II) having a tertiary amine and a pendant carboxyl group Furthermore the invention relates to a precursor or polymer comprising at least one unit of formula (I) and/or at least one unit of formula (II) and to the use of such precursor or such polymer in extrusion, injection moulding, compression moulding, transfer moulding, foam moulding, thermoforming, rotation moulding or 3D printing.

The present application relates to methods for producing materials having viable micro-organisms incorporated therein. More particularly, the materials are produced under high temperature and/or high pressure conditions, and the micro-organisms are incorporated in the material before or during these conditions. Also provided are micro-organisms that remain viable under these conditions and have different applications, depending on the nature of the material.

Incorporation of thermo-resistant and/or pressure-resistant organisms in materials

Compositions comprising a polymeric network

The present invention relates to a compound of formula (I) or a stereoisomer, enantiomer, racemic, or tautomer thereof, (I) wherein R, R, R, R, R, R, R, Land Qhave the meaning defined in the claims and the description. The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the compound of formula (I). The present invention also relates to the use of a compound of formula (I) as an in situ precursor of a triazolinedione reagent for the functionalization of enes, dienes, aryl and heteroaryl systems via the ene reactions, Diels-Alder reactions, and electrophilic aromatic substitution reactions of said reagent. The present invention also relates to the use of a compound of formula (I) in polymers, membranes, adhesives, foams, sealants, molded articles, films, extruded articles, fibers, elastomers, polymer based additives, pharmaceutical and biomedical products, varnishes, paints, coatings, inks, composite material, organic LEDs, organic semiconductors, conducting organic polymers, or 3D printed articles. The present invention also relates to article comprising said compound of formula (I) and to a process for reshaping and/or repairing said article. 

Urazole compounds

Methods and systems are provided for a dry silicone gel. The dry silicone gel comprises a base polymer having a vinyl-silicone group and a crosslinker having thiol groups. The dry silicone gel may be made without the use of a catalyst by reacting the base polymer and crosslinker in the presence of a photo or thermal initiator. In some embodiments, the gel also comprises a chain extender having thiol groups. In certain embodiments, the dry silicone gel may comprise: (1) a hardness between 100 g and 300 g, (2) a stress relaxation between 30% and 60% when subjected to a deformation of 50% of the original size of the gel, (3) a compression set between 4% and 20% after 50% strain has been applied to the gel for 1000 hours at 70&#xb0; C., and/or (4) less than 10% oil bleed out under compression of 1.2 atm after 60 days at 60&#xb0; C.

Dry silicone gels and their methods of making using thiol-ene chemistry

The invention relates to a method for functionalizing a thermoset, crosslinked isocyanate-based polymeric solid material which is made of isocyanate and isocyanate reactive components, at least one of which comprises an anchor component which has at least one anchor group. The anchor groups on the solid material are formed by terminal alkene and/or alkyne groups. To functionalize this polymeric solid material it is brought in contact with a solution which contains at least one functional component. This functional component comprises at least one thiol group and is allowed to bind covalently to the polymeric solid material by a free-radical addition reaction between the thiol groups on the functional component and the terminal alkene and/or alkyne anchor groups on the undissolved solid material. An effective functionalization of the polymeric material can thus be achieved notwithstanding the heterogeneous reaction conditions.

Method for functionalising a thermoset, crosslinked isocyanate-based polymeric solid material

The present invention relates to a method for producing an isocyanate-based polymeric material by polymerizing a reaction mixture which comprises different reaction components, including at least one polyisocyanate component and at least one component which is reactive towards said polyisocyanate component. The reaction components comprise at least one anchor component which has at least one anchor group which enables to bond a functional component covalently to the polymeric material. The anchor group is a reactive unsaturated group which does not react during the polymerization process so that the polymerization process is not interfered. The anchor group is selected to that it can bind the functional component by a click chemistry reaction to the polymeric material. It is more particularly selected so that it can participate in a catalyzed Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction or in a Diels-Alder cycloaddition reaction The invention also relates to the obtained isocyanate-based polymeric material, to the use thereof to produce a functionalized polymeric material and to this functionalized polymeric material.
