A method performed by CU-CP of a base station configured as a donor base station for one or more IAB nodes comprises transmitting a first message to setup or modify a first bearer context for a first bearer in a central unit user plane, CU-UP, of the base station, wherein the first message comprises an information element indicating mapping information for use in determining a mapping of the first bearer to a backhaul radio link control, BH RLC, channel.

Systems and methods are disclosed herein that relate to Quality of Experience (QoE) measurement configuration and reporting in a cellular communications system during mobility. In one embodiment, a method performed by a User Equipment (UE) comprises receiving a QoE measurement configuration and a measurement duration time associated to the QoE measurement configuration, starting to perform QoE measurements in accordance with the QoE measurement configuration, starting a measurement duration timer upon starting to perform the QoE measurements, the measurement duration timer being initialized to the measurement duration time associated to the QoE measurement configuration, and continuing to perform the QoE measurements while the measurement duration timer is running. Embodiments related to the method of operation of a RAN node are also disclosed.

Configuration of QoE measurements and associated measurement duration time supporting mobility

Embodiments include methods for a user equipment (UE), particularly for performing quality of experience (QoE) measurements configured by a wireless network. Such methods include receiving, from a radio access network node (RNN) in the wireless network, a request for QoE measurement reports that are available at the UE and that are associated with one or more services provided by the UE application layer. Such methods also include sending one or more QoE measurement reports to the RNN in accordance with the request. Other embodiments include complementary methods for a RNN, as well as UEs and RNNs configured to perform such methods.

Enhanced network control over quality-of-experience (QoE) measurement reports by user equipment

There is provided a method for resource coordination in a first donor Integrated Access Backhaul (IAB) node connected to a first parent IAB node which is connected to an IAB node, the IAB node further being connected to a second parent IAB node which is connected to a second donor IAB node. The method comprises: sending, to the second donor IAB node, an indication of a first resource configuration for the IAB node, the first resource configuration determined by the first donor IAB node; receiving, from the second donor IAB node, a request for a second resource configuration for the IAB node; and determining a resource configuration for the IAB node based at least on one of the first resource configuration and the second resource configuration.

Methods and nodes for IAB inter-donor multi-parent resource coordination

According to some embodiments, a network node is capable of operating as an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node comprising a distributed unit (DU) and a mobile termination (MT). The IAB node performs a method comprising; obtaining configuration information for establishing an interface between the IAB node DU and a target IAB donor central unit (CU); and after a handover of the IAB node to the target donor, establishing the interface between the IAB node DU and the target IAB donor CU based on the obtained configuration information.

In one embodiment, a method performed by a first RAN node for handling QoE measurement configuration and/or reporting during RAN overload comprises performing one or more actions related to one or more aspects of QoE measurement configuration, QoE measurement reporting, or both QoE measurement configuration and QoE measurement reporting that mitigate an RAN overload condition. In one embodiment, performing the one or more actions comprises performing one or more actions related to transfer of one or more aspects of QoE measurement configuration from the first RAN node to a second RAN node, transfer of one or more aspects of QoE measurement reporting from the first RAN node to the second RAN node, or both.

A method by a network node, operating as a target donor CU in an IAB network serving as a candidate donor node for a migrating IAB node and providing connectivity for a UE. A message for IAB handover including contexts of the migrating IAB node and UEs and IAB nodes directly or indirectly served by the migrating IAB node is received. Admission control is performed for the UEs and IAB nodes. A handover command to a mobile termination, MT, of the migrating IAB node, and each UE and MT of the IAB nodes is prepared. A handover acknowledge message including a list of admitted and not admitted PDU session resources and containing the group handover command is sent. A RRC Reconfiguration Complete message is received.

IAB-node handover in inter-CU migration, recursive F1 and RRC signaling aspects

Embodiments include methods, performed by a mobile terminal (MT) of an integrated access backhaul (IAB) node in a radio access network (RAN), for reporting capabilities of cells in the RAN. Such methods include detecting one or more cells in the RAN and determining whether the one or more cells support IAB (e.g., by receiving information broadcast by the respective cells). Such methods also include sending, to a centralized unit (CU, e.g., of abase station) in the RAN, a measurement report including an indication of whether the one or more cells support IAB. Various techniques can be used to indicated IAB support. In some embodiments, the MT can receive a reconfiguration message, from the CU, for a handover to one of the cells that supports IAB. Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by CUs, as well as MTs and CUs configured to perform such methods.

Implicit indication of centralized unit (CU) integrated access backhaul (IAB) capability

Embodiments include methods for a first radio network node (RNN) in a wireless network to configure quality of experience (QoE) measurements by user equipment (UEs). Such methods include receiving, from a measurement function in the wireless network, a QoE measurement configuration (QMC associated with one or more service types; and configuring one or more UEs with the QMC. Such methods also include sending to a second RNN in the wireless network, a first request for handover of a particular one of the UEs from a first cell served by the first RNN via a first radio access technology (RAT) to a second cell served by the second RNN via a second RAT. Embodiments herein relate to, for example, a method performed by a source radio network node (), for handling communication in a wireless communications network, wherein the source radio network node is adapted to relay data packets between a first radio network node and a UE in the wireless communications network. The source radio network node () transmits to a target radio network node () a message relating to a cell selection and/or a handover for the UE, wherein the message comprises a first user plane indication, and wherein the first user plane indication is an indication of setting up a user plane communication or not for the UE.

Methods and radio network nodes for handling communication

Embodiments include methods for an integrated access backhaul (IAB) node in a wireless network to migrate from a first centralized unit (CU) to a second CU. Such methods include receiving a handover command from the first CU via a source parent IAB node. The handover command includes an identifier of a target cell for the handover.
