The invention relates to an evaporation device for evaporating volatile substances, comprising a container () housing a liquid () containing the volatile substances, an outlet () through which the volatile substances exit and a hole () for equalizing the pressure between the inside and the outside of the container, and characterized in that it also comprises a membrane () placed between the container () and the hole (), said membrane () being leak-tight with respect to said liquid () and porous with respect to the gases. This membrane prevents the liquid from accidentally spilling and furthermore solves the issue of balancing pressures inside the container, keeping the rate of evaporation constant until running out of the volatile substances.

A volatile substance evaporator device comprising a heat source and a refill including said volatile substances, wherein the heat source is a flame that heats a transmission element which heats said refill for evaporating the volatile substances. The result thereof is that the volatile substances evaporate properly without the need to use batteries or a similar power source, simply by the use of a flame, for example in the form of a candle, the financial cost thereof being very low.

The invention enables all of the components thereof, especially those most likely to be handled, to always be as clean as possible, supplying the product in a very cost-effective manner.

The present invention relates to a wick for volatile substance evaporators formed from a strip () of wood and characterized in that the strip () has a height comprised between 120 mm and 170 mm, a width between 40 and 80 mm, in the widest part thereof, and a thickness between 1.5 mm and 3 mm. A more constant rate of evaporation of a fragrance or insecticide and a more balanced diffusion of fragrance or insecticide together with a greater intensity of the fragrance or of the insecticide efficacy in the room to be freshened or protected are achieved.

The present invention generally relates to volatile substance evaporators having a container with wick, and has the object of providing a technique for effectively detecting end-of-life of the volatile substance housed within the container. The volatile substance evaporator is configured for coupling to, and maintaining in a stable position, a container of volatile substance having a wick with a lower end housed within said container and an upper end emerging from the container. The evaporator comprises an infrared light emitter disposed so as to emit a beam of light on said upper end of the wick, in such a manner that a receptor is disposed so as to capture said beam of light reflected by the upper end of the wick.
