In a vehicle door with a cross-arm type window lift and a lock assembly, which can be produced more easily and cost-effectively by employing modular construction and by using individual components for several different functions. The invention is distinguished by the guide rail of the cross-arm window lift simultaneously functioning as the support for the lock assembly, by the guide for guiding the window being integrated in the base body of the lock assembly and by the outer edge of a base plate supporting a window lift having a circumferential profiled sealing section in the interior sheet metal door panel for sealing a mounting opening, so that the protection of electrical/electronic components is provided in the dry space without additional steps.

Vehicle door

Motor vehicle door 1 with an integrated lattice-type support frame 2 receiving a window lifter. Support frame 2 is mountable in motor vehicle door 1 connected by hinges 36 and 37 with a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. At least one support 3, 4 of support frame 2 is connected at its connecting ends 45 and 46 with force inleads 47 and 48 disposed in motor vehicle door 1, said inleads being in positive contact with areas of the passenger compartment which are adjacent on both sides with motor vehicle door 1 (FIG. 5).

A window actuating system, especially in a motor vehicle, including a guide rail, an entrainment device for a window glass plate supported at the guide rail, a force transmission member engaging at the entrainment device, a drive member for the force transmission member attached to the guide rail and selectably with a manual drive unit arranged to be remote from the guide rail or a motorized drive unit coupled with the drive member, the drive member being provided with a reverse brake, especially a wrap around spring brake, and the motorized drive unit being attached directly at the drive member or at the drive rail in the region of the drive member.

System for window operation, especially in a motor vehicle

An automobile door is proposed with a unit carrier on which built-in units, especially a complete window winder with window pane can be preassembled. Only afterwards on preassembly the unit carrier is brought together with the door's outer shell to form the door. Both door hinges as well as a door lock are secured on the unit carrier.
