An operating method for a power train of a hybrid vehicle having an internal combustion engine, an electric drive machine and a rechargeable electric energy storage unit configured to supply the electric drive machine with energy, includes controlling the power train in a zero emission mode in which the internal combustion engine is deactivated and in which the electric drive machine serves to drive the hybrid vehicle, and in an emission mode in which the internal combustion engine is operated in a fired operation. The method also includes determining, for a system initiated change of operating mode from the zero emission mode into the emission mode, a starting command for the internal combustion engine. The change of operating mode from the zero emission mode into the emission mode is blocked for one of a predefinable delay time, a predefinable quantity of energy extracted from the electric energy storage unit, or a predefinable travel distance.

Operating method for a hybrid vehicle

A method for operating a hybrid vehicle having an electrical energy store, an electric drive and an internal combustion engine, includes activating, by a driver of the hybrid vehicle, a battery control mode by actuating a defined operator control element. A special drive operating strategy for the internal combustion engine is triggered in the battery control mode with the electric drive switched off. An increased charging gradient is then obtained by the special drive operating strategy if a current state of charge of the electrical energy store is below one of a desired state of charge or a lower tolerance threshold with respect to the desired state of charge.

Method and device for operating a hybrid vehicle having an electrical energy store, an electric motor and an internal combustion engine

A control system has at least one electronic control unit for controlling an internal combustion engine in a hybrid vehicle, which records at least the vehicle speed and the driver's desired driving performance and the driving performance specified by a safety control system or a driver assistance system. The control unit is designed such that, below a pre-defined vehicle speed threshold and/or in the event of recognition of an urban area, while in a purely electric driving mode, it only engages the internal combustion engine when the current desired driving performance exceeds a pre-defined upper threshold, preferably once the maximum tractive force at the wheel for purely electric driving is at least reached.

A method and a device operate a hybrid vehicle having an electric energy store, an electric propulsion system and an internal combustion engine. A special operating strategy that can be initiated for the internal combustion engine allows the state of charge of the energy store to be increased when predefined acoustic conditions are met. The special operating strategy has a performance-enhancing effect by raising the load point until acoustic limits are reached which are ascertained in real time, can be predefined in a variable manner and are defined in accordance with ascertained potentials for masking specific acoustic events. The disclosed method and device for carrying out the method raise the acoustic limits for controlling the load point of the internal combustion engine at least to the level that is currently admissible as a result of at least one acoustically relevant event being masked, possible acoustically relevant events being defined by vehicle-internal sources of influence, the characteristic spectra of which are known from empirical assessments and the occurrence of which is controlled by vehicle-internal systems.

Method and device for operating a hybrid vehicle comprising an electric energy store, an electric motor and an internal combustion engine

In a control system having at least one electronic control unit for controlling an internal combustion engine in a hybrid vehicle, the control unit is designed in such a way that it evaluates input signals for detecting data for identifying a current situation and for identifying at least one situation forecast in the near future with regard to an expected speed curve and at least the predicted current traffic light phase duration. Depending thereon and on a change in load brought about by a driver interaction, the control unit controls, in a manner that is adaptive to the situation, the restart and shutoff of the internal combustion engine independently of a currently predefined EV mode speed limit and/or EV mode load limit.
