A method of producing a rail-bound rail vehicle for passenger transport, includes providing at least one trough-like superstructure with a floor and adjoining side walls formed in a framework construction from side-wall posts, lower longitudinal members and upper longitudinal flanges or chords. The upper longitudinal flanges are supported against one another by connecting members. The side walls have windows and access areas with doors. The side-wall posts are disposed in a zigzag manner and are rigidly connected to the lower longitudinal members and the upper longitudinal flanges, and serve as supporting elements for the windows and side paneling elements fastened thereto. The superstructure is assembled from shaped pieces and bar parts which have been cut to length. The bar parts fitted together with the shaped pieces are aligned, connecting surfaces between the bar parts and the shaped pieces are provided with a bonding agent, the bar parts and shaped pieces to be connected are subsequently bonded, the bonding agent is set, and attachment of exterior paneling and windows is then carried out by a thick-film bonding technique.

Method of producing a rail-bound rail vehicle for passenger transport

Rail vehicle

A rail-borne motor coach for conveying passengers has at least one coach body, the side walls of which have windows and entry regions with doors. The coach body is constructed as a trough with a low-floor coach-body floor and raised coach heads. The side walls are a framework of side-wall pillars, lower longitudinal girders and upper longitudinal flanges. The upper longitudinal flanges are braced against one another by transverse connecting members.

Rail-borne motor coach

The invention relates to a rail-borne power unit for conveying passengers. The unit has at least one coach section formed by a coach body with at least one passenger compartment for passengers and with a driver's cab at one or both ends. The coach body is supported on running-gear assemblies formed by wheelsets and driven by at least one drive unit. The rail-borne power unit is a low-floor vehicle in which a central part of the coach body is lowered relative to its end parts. At least one end part of the rail-borne power unit is designed as a motor-coach head. The unit is selectively driven by at least one diesel-mechanical drive, or a diesel-electric drive, or a purely electric drive, or a multi-system drive formed by a combination of a diesel-electric drive with a purely electric drive, or a multi-system drive formed by a combination of two different electric drive variants, or a multi-system drive formed by a combination of a diesel-electric and two different electric drive variants. An electric drive motor drives at least one axle of one of the running-gear assemblies.

Rail-borne motive power unit

A rail vehicle includes a body with side walls having a frame including supporting beams for absorbing vertical forces and longitudinal beams extending horizontally. Panelling is disposed on the inner side and the outer side of the frame and attached to the longitudinal beams. Additionally, windows are disposed in the side walls and framed by the supporting and the longitudinal beams. The supporting beams extend obliquely to the longitudinal beams and engage in the respective recesses of the longitudinal beams.

A railborne vehicle, in particular a passenger car, includes an underframe with a trough-like bottom. A car body is disposed on the underframe and has end surfaces, truck regions each being spaced apart from a respective one of the end surfaces, a middle region disposed between the truck regions, end regions each tapering from a respective one of the truck regions to a respective one of the end surfaces, a roof, and a cross section with polygonal long sides and a width being increased from the end surfaces to the truck regions and being narrowed at the middle region. A truck is disposed in each respective one of the truck regions.
