A multi-row rolling-element bearing includes first and second bearing rings and first and second rows of rolling elements therebetween. A cage between the first and second bearing rings has a first annular side part having a plurality of axially extending first bridge elements and a second annular side part having a plurality of axially extending second bridge elements connected to the first bridge elements to form bridges and to form pockets therebetween. At least one rolling element of the first row of rolling elements and at least one rolling element of the second row of rolling elements are located in each of the plurality of pockets.

Multi-row rolling-element bearing

A bearing assembly for a traction motor of a railway vehicle includes at least one rolling-element bearing having an inner ring and an outer ring. At least one row of rolling elements is disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring. A sealing assembly is disposed in at least one of the axial end portions of the rolling-element bearing. The sealing assembly includes a first sealing region disposed adjacent to the bearing rings, and a second sealing region spaced farther from the bearing rings than the first seal region. The first sealing region includes a lip seal, and the second sealing region includes a labyrinth seal. The internal volume surrounding the rolling elements located between the bearing rings is in fluid communication with the atmosphere.

Bearing assembly for a traction motor of a railway vehicle

A bearing assembly for rotatably supporting a first component with respect to a second component includes at least one bearing including a bearing ring, at least one further component, and at least one lubricant branch structure configured to carry a lubricant to the bearing and to the further component, wherein the lubricant branch structure is at least partially disposed in the bearing ring or the lubricant branch structure is at least partially disposed in a distributor piece directly abutting the bearing ring.

A tool is disclosed for installing a rolling element into, and removing the rolling element out of, a rolling-element bearing cage. The tool has a gripping element including a clampable jaw disposed on a base. The clampable jaw includes at least two interacting parts. At least one first screw is screwed into a first threaded bore defined in the base. The at least one first screw can be tightened to clamp together the at least two interacting parts of the jaw. A first end of the rod is attached to the base. An impact weight is coupled to the rod and is displaceable along the longitudinal axis of the rod. Further, a stop is fixedly disposed on the rod at a location spaced from the gripping element. The stop is designed to be struck by the impact weight.

Installation and removal tool for use with rolling element bearings

A roller bearing cage includes a first side ring, a second side ring and a plurality of axially-extending bridges connecting the side rings. A pocket for retaining a roller body is defined between the side rings and each two adjacent bridges. The two side rings and the bridges are integrally formed in one-piece. Reinforcement rings are disposed on one or both outer axial sides of the side rings. One or more connecting elements extend axially through the respective bridges, side rings and reinforcement rings. At least one axial end of the connecting element(s) directly or indirectly affixes the reinforcement ring(s) to the side ring(s).
