An injector for the metered ejection of a fluid, in particular fuel, has a housing and a plastic extrusion coating, which encloses the housing, and from which the housing protrudes at an upper housing end on the fluid inlet side and at a lower housing end on the fluid ejection side. To achieve a so-called 'fording capability' of the injector, the peripheral separation point of the housing and the plastic extrusion coating, at the lower end of the plastic extrusion coating, is sealed, preferably with the aid of a sealing collar.

Injector

An electromagnetically actuable valve, e.g., a fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines, includes an electromagnetically actuable actuating element having a solenoid coil, a fixed core, a valve jacket, and a movable armature for actuating a valve-closure element, which cooperates with a valve-seat surface provided on a valve-seat body. A sleeve-shaped guide element is introduced into an inner longitudinal bore of the armature and into an inner flow bore of the internal pole, the guide element being firmly fixed in place in the armature or the inner pole, and loosely guided in the respective other component.

Electromagnetically actuable valve

The electromagnetically operatable valve, in particular a fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, has a magnetic circuit having a core, a solenoid, a bobbin accommodating the winding of the solenoid, an armature, which operates a valve closing body cooperating with a fixed valve seat and is drawn against the core when the solenoid is excited, and having an armature-side flow guide element. The bobbin is designed and situated in such a way that magnetic isolation between the core and the armature-side flow guide element is ensured. The valve is suitable in particular for use in fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engines.

Electromagnetically operatable valve

A fuel injector includes a solenoid coil, which cooperates with an armature acted upon by a restoring spring, the armature forming an axially displaceable valve part together with a valve needle. A valve-closure member, which forms a sealing seat together with a valve-seat body, is provided on the valve needle. Furthermore, a reliable sealing of a thin-walled valve sleeve or of the magnetic coil exists that is made of a sealing body that is secured beneath the magnetic coil. The sealing body is tetragonal in cross-section, in particular, it has a trapezoid-like shape, and is put in between the magnetic coil and a valve housing. In its installed state, the sealing body is clamped and compressed. In its compressed state, the sealing body assumes an elliptical or egg-shaped cross-section.

Fuel injector

An electromagnetically actuatable valve, e.g., a fuel injector for fuel injection systems, includes an electromagnetic actuating element having a solenoid, a fixed core, a valve jacket, and a movable armature for actuating a valve closing body, which cooperates with a valve seat surface provided on a valve seat body. In addition, the valve has a restoring spring for resetting the valve closing body to its resting position on the valve seat surface. The restoring spring and an internal longitudinal bore hole of the armature are paired in such a way that the armature is guided during its axial movement only along the restoring spring.

Electromagnetically actuatable valve

A fuel injector for fuel ignition systems of internal combustion engines includes a magnetic circuit having a core, a magnetic coil and an armature, and a movable valve needle, which has a valve-closure member that cooperates with a fixed valve seat, the valve seat being shaped on a valve-seat member and being provided with a valve-seat support in which the valve-seat member is inserted. At least one metallic component of the fuel injector, in this context, has a serrated structure on its outer circumference for producing a solid connection to a corresponding component made of plastic. The plastic components may be the connection piece, the valve-seat support, the coil shell and the connecting pipe of the valve needle. The fuel injector is particularly suitable for use in fuel-injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines having externally supplied ignition.

An electromagnetically operatable valve, in particular a fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, includes a magnetic circuit having a core, a solenoid, an armature, which operates a valve closing body cooperating with a fixed valve seat and is drawn against the core when the solenoid is excited, and is held on the valve closing body by a closing body carrier representing a part of a valve needle. The spherical valve closing body is secured on the closing body carrier in a non-positive manner due to the shape of the corresponding connecting surfaces. The valve is suitable in particular for use in fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engines.

Plastic-metal connection and fuel injector having a plastic-metal connection

A fuel injector has a solenoid which cooperates with an armature acted upon by a restoring spring, the armature, together with a valve needle, forming an axially movable valve part. A valve closing body which forms a seat seal with a valve seat body is provided on the valve needle, the seat being form-fitted in a seat support which forms the downstream interface to the inlet pipe or the combustion chamber and is made of plastic. The connection fitting, which forms the upstream interface to the central fuel supply, is preferably also manufactured from plastic.

A method for manufacturing a solid housing, in particular a valve housing for an electromagnetically operable valve. The method includes providing at least three flat metal plates side by side, each having different magnetic properties directly adjacent to the others. The at least three plates are joined to the directly adjacent bordering edges to form a sheet metal section. The sheet metal section shaped into a sleeve shape. Furthermore, the bordering edges, which are now opposite one another, and run in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve to form a sleeve blank are joined together. The sleeve blank is machined until a desired geometric shape of the housing is achieved. The housing may be suitable in particular for use in fuel injectors in fuel injector systems of internal combustion engines operating by spark ignition of a compressed fuel-air mixture.

Method for manufacturing a solid housing

A fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines includes a valve-closure element cooperating with a valve seat, and a restoring spring which is situated in a spring pocket opening and acts upon the valve-closure element by a restoring force in the direction of the valve seat. The restoring spring has at least one holding coil in a region of the inflow side, whose area of cross section is positioned perpendicular to an area of cross section of the restoring spring.

A compensating element for supporting a fuel injector in a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine has an annular design and is situated between a valve housing of the fuel injector and a wall of a receiving bore of the cylinder head. The compensating element includes at least two side pieces, which are supported on the fuel injector and the cylinder head.

A fuel injector with a magnetic coil which cooperates with an armature acted upon by a restoring spring, the armature forming an axially movable valve part with a valve needle. A valve-closure member which forms a sealing seat with a valve-seat member is provided at the valve needle. At least one damping element is disposed in an opening of the fuel injector through which fuel flows.

A fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines includes a valve needle cooperating with a valve-seat surface to form a sealing seat, and an armature engaging with the valve needle, the armature being axially moveable at the valve needle and being damped, via a damping element, which is located in a recess in a downstream-side end face of the armature, with respect to a cup-shaped sleeve positioned downstream from the armature and joined to the valve needle in force-locking manner. Furthermore, the fuel injector includes a filter element, the filter element being positioned downstream from the armature in the cup-shaped sleeve.

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines includes a nozzle body. At a downstream end of the nozzle body at least one spray discharge opening is arranged. A sealing element is arranged on the nozzle body for sealing with respect to a contiguous component. At least one circumferential sealing ridge that forms a press fit with a contiguous component is arranged on the nozzle body as the sealing element.
