The invention relates to an electric conductor (L), made of an electrically conductive material comprising aluminum. The electric conductor is surrounded at least in a region intended for the connection of an electric contact element by a protective layer () serving the corrosion protection. The conductive material () is formed around a steel wire () having a diameter between 0.05 mm and 0.2 mm and a fracture strength of at least 1000 N/mmand having such a wall thickness that a conductor (L) having a diameter between 0.10 mm and 0.40 mm is obtained, onto which the protective layer () is applied having a thickness of at least 0.5 &#x3bc;m.

Electric cable

An electrical line for the connection of non-stationary electrical loads to a power source is specified which has a line core surrounded by a jacket () of insulating material. Four wires (), stranded together to form one star quad (S), for the transmission of data, and also two wires () stranded together to form a pair of wires (A) and used for supplying power are placed in the line core. The star quad (S) and the pair of wires (A) are stranded together as stranding elements for forming the line core and, over the same, a layer () of insulating material is placed, over which a braid or a stranded cover layer of copper wires is arranged in a first layer () as part of an electrical screen. At least one layer of a fleece material consisting of synthetic material and made electrically conductive is placed over the first layer () as second layer () of the electrical screen and the fleece material is surrounded by the jacket () of insulating material.

Flexible electric cable

An electrical conductor L is specified, which has a central core () and at least two layers which are arranged above the core () and are composed of electrically conductive individual wires, which are twisted around the core () in a first layer () and around the first layer () in a second layer (). The individual wires of the first layer () are steel wires with an ultimate tensile strength of between 800 N/mmand 2000 N/mm, and the individual wires of the second layer () are copper wires with an ultimate tensile strength of between 250 N/mmand 400 N/mm. A wire composed of a soft-annealed copper with an ultimate tensile strength of at least 210 N/mmis used as the core (). The lay length of the copper wires () is between 8&#xd7;D and 18&#xd7;D where D is the diameter of the conductor L over the second layer.

Electrical conductor

The invention specifies an electrical cable with at least two electrical conductor cores (), which are stranded together, and each of which consists of an electrical conductor () enclosed in insulation (), and with a sheath () of insulating material that encloses the conductor cores (). To protect the cable, which in itself is fully functional, from red-hot particles, the sheath (), which has a wall thickness of at least 0.5 mm, is covered with a barrier in the form of a flameproof strip (), which is wound in at least one course with overlapping edges. The strip () is covered with a layer () of a material that swells when exposed to moisture and that is surrounded by an outer sheath () of insulating material.

Electrical cable

An abrasion-resistant jacket for a flexible cable with a cable core and a jacket made of an abrasion-resistant thermoplastic material surrounding the cable core, particularly for a drag chain cable or a robot cable. The jacket includes an inner extruded plastic layer () and an outer jacket layer (). Between the inner plastic layer () and the outer jacket layer () is a layer () of monofilaments made of a chemically and thermally stable material with a visual coverage of 40 to 70%. The outer jacket layer () is applied by pressure extrusion, such that the spaces in the layer () are almost filled by the material of the outer jacket layer, and the layer () adheres to the inner sheath layer ().

Abrasion-resistant jacket

A data transmission cable for connection to mobile devices, which has at least two insulated conductors () twisted together into a pair. The pair is enclosed by an electric shield () over which a jacket () made of an insulating material is applied. To preserve the function of the cable even if it is subject to frequently alternating bending and torsional stresses, the two conductors () insulated with a solid unfoamed material are twisted together with two first strands () made of a foamed insulating material to form a core (S). The core (S) is enclosed by a foil () made of a foamed insulating material, and the shield () formed around the first foil () has at least one metal strip that is made of an electrically well-conducting material and is formed into a closed tubular sleeve.
