A motion nut for a lifting device, especially a car jack, in which a basic body has an internal thread and a threaded spindle is seated in the internal thread. The basic body together with the internal thread is a single unit component formed of at least two separate material components of different materials. The two separate material components form an internal thread region part and an external part, so that properties of the internal thread region is selectable different from properties of the external part. The properties of the thread being selectable for reduced friction and the properties of the external part being selectable for increased strength and stiffness.

The invention relates to a jack comprising a stand body, which rests on the ground ( ) and which consists of a stand column ( ) and foot ( ), and comprising a supporting arm ( ), which is fastened to the stand column ( ) in a manner that permits it to move around a fixed horizontal pivotal axis, and which is directly or indirectly raised or lowered in relation to the ground ( ) by means of a movement spindle ( ). The free end ( ) of the supporting arm is provided with a fixed or pivotal supporting part, and the end that engages inside the stand column ( ) comprises a denticulation, which engages inside a counter denticulation of a control slide ( ) and which displaces the control slide ( ) parallel to the longitudinal extension of the stand column ( ). The aim of the invention is to simplify the control slide ( ) and to make the production thereof more economical. Jack

The invention relates to a jack with supporting parts, which are provided as profiles that have U-shaped cross-sections and lateral profile limbs ( ) or which are provided as elements with laterally elevated sheet metal lobes ( ). Said supporting parts are pivotally interconnected by joints ( ) in such a manner that the lateral profile limbs ( ) and/or the elevated sheet metal lobes ( ) overlap in the vicinity of the joints ( ), and arbors pass through borings in the lateral profile limbs ( ) or elevated sheet metal lobes ( ). The aim of the invention is to reduce the weight of a jack of the aforementioned type as well as the risk of the profile limb ( ) kinking. To this end, the bottom of the U-shaped profile or element which, with the profile limbs ( ) or sheet metal lobes ( ) thereof, tightly surrounds the other profile or element, is provided with beads ( ) or lobes ( ), which inwardly project and which are arranged inside, however, near the profile limbs ( ) or sheet metal lobes of the other profile or element.

An automotive jack with a vertical main structure resting on a ground and provided with a leg, a foot, and a load supporting arm swingable around a fixed horizontal axis on the leg. A threaded shaft is used for raising the arm away from lowering toward the ground; a vehicle-engaging component with a free end and a convex adapter head at the free end. The adapter head engages a matching concave recess below a bottom of a vehicle being lifted.

Automotive jack

Jack with an erect component in the form of a leg ( ) that rests against the ground ( ) and of a foot ( ) articulated thereto and with a vehicle-lifting arm ( ) that pivots around a fixed horizontal axis on the leg. The arm can be directly or indirectly raised or lowered away from and toward the ground by means of a spindle ( ). The arm is provided with a fixed or pivoting vehicle-supporting component at its free end. At the other end, which engages the leg, the arm is provided with appropriate controls that displace a slide ( ) along the leg such that the lower end ( ) of the slide can come to rest against the leg-supporting surface ( ) of the foot. Car jack

In the case of a jack with a supporting element, at which the insertion trunnion ( ), which can be folded vertically over a joint ( ), is mounted with a stop ( ) limiting the depth of insertion, in order to construct the stop ( ) and fix it securely and reliably in position in a simple manner and so as to have little weight, it is a part of an intermediate layer, which is disposed in the region of the joint ( ) between the insertion trunnion ( ) and the supporting element.

A jack with a leg (1) and a supporting arm (2) articulated together by an articulation (3). The leg rests against the ground (5) by way of a foot (4). The supporting arm is articulated by another articulation (18) at the other end of the supporting arm to a load-support plate (19). The plate supports the vehicle as it is lifted by way of an innermost section (20) located preferably between the sill ridge (21) and the midline, and below the bottom (22), of the vehicle. The plate has a bodywork catch (25) with a bent-up section (26). The bent-up section comes to rest against the outside (23) of the sill (24) when the jack is used and is raised by a spring (28). Adjusting arms (9& 10) are articulated to the leg, to the supporting arm, and to each other, constituting a parallelogram linkage. One end (17) of the supporting arm projects beyond its articulation (7) to its associated adjusting arm (9). A threaded displacement shaft (12) is connected at one end to an articulation (11) between the adjusting arms and at the other to the articulation (3) between the leg and the supporting arm.

A vehicle jack with an upright assembly and an arm articulated thereto around a fixed horizontal axis. The free end of the arm bends toward the vehicle and is directly or indirectly raised away from and lowered toward the ground by a spindle. To simplify obtaining an angle in the arm, the main section of the arm is straight and an angled section is form fit onto its free end.

Vehicle jack

An automotive jack in which an upright leg is provided with a U-shaped cross-section and has a foot connected to an end of that leg. A supporting arm is connected to the leg at a pivot with a horizontal axis, whereby the supporting arm is pivotable about the horizontal axis. The jack is actuated through a thread and nut device which is pivotally connected to the leg and the supporting arm. The U-shaped cross-section of the leg has an open end and two sides connected by a convex base portion in the cross-section of the leg and throughout substantially the length of the leg when viewed from outside the leg.

A jack (1) has a flat base (2) attached to a support (3) at the top by a lever-operated mechanism. The mechanism is activated by a threaded shaft (5) and nut (6). The nut has a coaxial gudgeon (10 & 11) on each side. The gudgeons extend across the axis (22) of an interior-threaded section. The nut consists of two halves (13 & 14). The halves fit together at a flat interface (15). The interface parallels both the axis (21) of the gudgeons and the axis (22) of the threaded section (23).

Vehicle lift

A scissor jack has a leg having a lower end adapted to bear on the ground, a support arm having a lower end pivoted on an opposite upper end of the leg at an intermediate horizontal axis, and a load-bearing member engageable with the vehicle body and formed on an opposite upper end of the intermediate support arm. Upper and lower links are pivoted together at another intermediate horizontal axis with the upper link also pivotal on the support arm between the ends thereof at an upper horizontal link axis and the lower link also pivotal on the leg between the ends thereof at a lower horizontal link axis. A jack screw is connected between the intermediate axes and can draw the intermediate link axes toward one another to raise the load-bearing member or separate the intermediate link axes to lower the load-bearing member. A foot piece can rock on the lower end of the leg relative to the ground about a lower horizontal foot axis as the leg is raised and lowered. A control brace fixed on the lower link projects therefrom past the leg and beyond the lower horizontal link axis to support the jack in a raised position with the lower link axis above the ground. This brace has an outer end operatively engageable with the ground and forming a lower horizontal brace axis spaced from the other axes such that it always defines with the lower foot axis a plane generally parallel to a plane defined by the intermediate link axes.
