Methods, apparatus and systems for counting and recognizing objects or people based on rhythmic motion monitoring are described. A described method comprises: obtaining N1 time series of channel information (TSCI) of a wireless multipath channel that is impacted by a rhythmic motion of an object in a venue, wherein the N1 TSCI is extracted from a wireless signal transmitted from a transmitter to a receiver through the wireless multipath channel; decomposing each of the N1 TSCI into N2 time series of channel information components (TSCIC), wherein a channel information component (CIC) of each of the N2 TSCIC at a time comprises a respective component of a channel information (CI) of the TSCI at the time, wherein N1 and N2 are positive integers; monitoring the rhythmic motion of the object based on at least one of: the N1*N2 TSCIC and the N1 TSCI.

Method, apparatus, and system for people counting and recognition based on rhythmic motion monitoring

Methods, apparatus and systems for wireless proximity sensing are described. In one example, a described system comprises: a transmitter configured for transmitting a first wireless signal through a wireless multipath channel of a venue; a receiver configured for receiving a second wireless signal through the wireless multipath channel; and a processor. The second wireless signal differs from the first wireless signal due to the wireless multipath channel that is impacted by a movement of an object in the venue. The processor is configured for: obtaining a time series of channel information (TSCI) of the wireless multipath channel based on the second wireless signal, wherein each channel information (CI) of the TSCI comprises a plurality of CI components, each of which is associated with an index; computing an inter-component statistics based on the plurality of CI components; computing, based on the inter-component statistics, a proximity information of the object with respect to a reference location in the venue; and performing a task based on the proximity information of the object.

Method, apparatus, and system for wireless proximity sensing

Methods, apparatus and systems for wireless vital signs monitoring are described. In one embodiment, a described system comprises: a transmitter, a receiver, a processor. The transmitter transmits, using N1 transmit antennas, a wireless signal through a wireless multipath channel of a venue, while a first object in the venue is having a first repetitive motion. The receiver receives, using N2 receive antennas, the wireless signal through the wireless multipath channel, and extracts a plurality of time series of channel information (TSCI) of the wireless multipath channel from the wireless signal. N1 and N2 are positive integers. Each of the plurality of TSCI is associated with a transmit antenna of the transmitter and a receive antenna of the receiver. The processor computes a first information of the first repetitive motion based on the plurality of TSCI, and monitors the first repetitive motion of the first object based on the first information.

Method, apparatus, and system for vital signs monitoring using high frequency wireless signals

Methods, apparatus and systems for wireless vital monitoring are described. In one example, a described system comprises: a transmitter configured for transmitting a first wireless signal through a wireless channel of a venue; a receiver configured for receiving a second wireless signal through the wireless channel; and a processor. The second wireless signal comprises a reflection of the first wireless signal by at least one living being having at least one repetitive motion in the venue. The processor is configured for: obtaining a time series of channel information (TSCI) of the wireless channel based on the second wireless signal; generating, for each living being of the at least one living being, a vital signal representing all repetitive motions of the living being based on the TSCI; extracting, from the vital signal of each living being, a heartbeat signal; and monitoring, for each living being in the venue, a heart rate variability based on the heartbeat signal.
