Methods, apparatus, systems, architectures and interfaces for compressing hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback bits performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) receiving a transmit block (TB) including code block group (CBG) data are provided. The method includes receiving, by the WTRU, information associated with transmitting compressed HARQ-ACK feedback information, receiving, by the WTRU, a TB; determining, by the WTRU, a countdown downlink assignment index (CD_DAI) associated with the received TB; generating, by the WTRU, the compressed HARQ-ACK feedback information by compressing HARQ-ACK feedback bits associated with the received TB; and on condition that: (1) the CD_DAI is equal to zero or (2) the WTRU determines to provide feedback information, transmitting the compressed HARQ-ACK feedback information.

Radio data transmissions with low-density parity-check codes

Methods and apparatus are described. A station includes a transceiver and a processor, which receive a trigger frame for an uplink (UL) transmission. The trigger frame includes an indication of resource units (RUs) for random access in an upcoming UL high efficiency trigger based packet data convergence protocol data unit and an indication that the trigger frame is a poll for a buffer status report of the STA. The processor and the transceiver transmit a buffer status of the STA using a selected one of the indicated RUs.

Method and apparatus for multi-user concurrent random access for wireless local area networks (WLANS)

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive, from a base station, a synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block transmission. The WTRU may transmit using a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource. Further, the PRACH resource may be determined based on an SS/PBCH block index. Also, the SS/PBCH block index may be determined based on information associated with the SS/PBCH block transmission. In a further example, the information associated with the PBCH block may be derived from a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequence. In another example, the DMRS sequence may be a PBCH DMRS sequence. Also, the information associated with the PBCH block may be derived from PBCH payload bits. Further, the SS/PBCH block index may be associated with a beam. In addition, SS/PBCH transmissions of different beams may be transmitted at different times. Further, the PRACH resource may include a preamble resource, a time resource and a frequency resource.

Random access in new radio (NR) and other beamforming systems

An apparatus and method are described. The apparatus includes a transceiver and processor, which attach transport block (TB) level CRC bits to a TB, select an LDPC base graph (BG) based on a code rate (CR) and TB size of the TB including TB level CRC bits, determine a number of code blocks (CBs) to use for segmenting the TB including TB level CRC bits depending on the selected LDPC BG, determine a single CB size for each of the CBs based on the number of CBs, segment the TB including TB level CRC bits into the CBs based on the number of CBs and CB size, pad zeros to a last CB of the CBs in the segmented TB, attach CB level CRC bits to each CB in the segmented TB, encode each CB in the segmented TB using the selected LDPC base graph, and transmit the encoded CBs.

Method and apparatus for low-density parity-check (LDPC) coding

ePDCCH may be provided. For example, a WTRU may receive a configuration for monitoring an ePDCCH resource. Based on the configuration, the WTRU may be configured to monitor and may monitor the ePDCCH resource on a particular subframe. Additionally, a WTRU may derive an aggregation level for a subframe associated with an aggregation level number N. The WTRU may transmit or monitor an ePDCCH using the aggregation level associated with the Nfor the subframe. A WTRU may also receive a reference signal. The WTRU may then determine the type of reference signal received. The WTRU may perform a demodulation of the PDSCH or ePDCCH using a demodulation timing based on the determined type. The ePDCCH or PDSCH may also be monitored or received by identifying a demodulation reference timing implicitly based on a location of one or more ePDCCH resources where the WTRU may receive DCI.

Systems and/or methods for providing enhanced PDCCH in a multiple carrier based and/or quasi-collated network

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, an extended reality (XR) device may transmit, to a first wireless communication device and a second wireless communication device, a first portion of rendering data and a second portion of rendering data, respectively, for offloaded rendering, wherein a division of the rendering data into the first portion of the rendering data and the second portion of the rendering data is based at least in part on view information. The XR device may receive, from the first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device, a first portion of rendered data and a second portion of the rendered data, respectively, based at least in part on the transmitting. Numerous other aspects are described.

View-dependent multiple streaming for extended reality (XR) rendering offloading

A WTRU apparatus and method for operation thereby are provided. The method may comprise receiving, from a network, a mapping rule which indicates HARQ feedback characteristics to employ for a QoS level and a channel load. The WTRU may determine a QoS level of data buffered for transmission and may further determine a channel load of a channel. Based on the QoS level and channel load, HARQ feedback characteristics may be determined. The WTRU may then transmit an SCI to another WTRU which indicates the HARQ feedback characteristics. In an embodiment, the mapping rule may indicate that a HARQ feedback format is to be used for HARQ feedback of the data. The data may be transmitted and HARQ feedback of the data may be received in accordance with the HARQ feedback format. Groupcast data may be transmitted to a plurality of WTRUs and feedback my be received.

Methods, devices, and systems for supporting HARQ on V2X

Modulating millimeter waves may be embodied via a plurality of means. In at least one embodiment of the process disclosed herein, the process includes receiving, at a transmitter, a set of bits. The process also includes generating at least two complex-valued symbols based on the set of bits using a pipelined modulation at least in part by (i) mapping the set of bits to a first symbol using a first constellation mapping and (ii) mapping the set of bits to a second symbol using a second constellation mapping. The process also includes selecting a first data communication resource in a first single carrier channel for the first symbol and selecting a second data communication resource in a second single carrier channel for the second symbol. The process also includes transmitting, via the transmitter, the first and second symbols using the respective selected data communication resources.

Method and apparatus for modulation of millimeter waves and preamble design

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for range extension, basic service set (BSS) color labeling, and multi-user (MU) fragmentation and control in WLANs. A range extension notification/enablement scheme, a clear channel assessment (CCA), a headroom indication, and/or power scaling may be provided for a range extension mode. BSS color may be provided for multiple-BSSs under an access point (AP). Uplink (UL) transmission may be provided with different fragmentation capabilities. A high-efficiency (HE) trigger-based UL NDP physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) frame may be provided. A station (STA) may receive a trigger frame comprising a null data packet (NDP) indication and a trigger type. The STA may determine that the STA is an intended recipient of the trigger frame. The STA may prepare an NDP PPDU for a control frame and/or a management frame based on the trigger type.

Control and operation in Wireless Local Area Network

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for physical (PHY) layer multiplexing of different types of traffic in 5G systems. A device may receive a communication. The communication may include a first traffic type. The device may monitor the communication for an indication that the communication includes a second traffic type that is multiplexed with and/or punctures the first traffic type. An indicator received in the communication and detected by the monitoring may indicate where the second traffic type is located in the communication. The first traffic type and the second traffic type may be multiplexed at a resource element (RE) level. For example, a first traffic type may be punctured by a second traffic type at the RE level. The device may decode one or more of the first or second traffic types in the communication based on the indication.

PHY layer multiplexing of different types of traffic in 5G systems

Mechanisms may be used for aggregating acknowledgement (ACK), block ACK (BA) and/or short packets transmissions for multi-user (MU) wireless communication systems. Aggregation mechanisms may be used for uplink (UL) and/or downlink (DL) orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA), and/or UL/DL multiple-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) transmissions, for example. Multi-user short packets may be aggregated and/or simultaneously transmitted for DL, UL, or peer-to-peer (P2P) transmissions.

Short packet optimization in WLAN systems

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for interleaving coded bits. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may generate a plurality of polar encoded bits using polar encoding. The WTRU may divide the plurality of polar encoded bits into sub-blocks of equal size in a sequential manner. The WTRU may apply sub-block wise interleaving to the sub-blocks using an interleaver pattern. The sub-blocks associated with a subset of the sub-blocks may be interleaved, and sub-blocks associated with another subset of the sub-blocks may not be interleaved. The sub-block wise interleaving may include applying interleaving across the sub-blocks without interleaving bits associated with each of the sub-blocks. The WTRU may concatenate bits from each of the interleaved sub-blocks to generate interleaved bits, and store the interleaved bits associated with the interleaved sub-blocks in a circular buffer. The WTRU may select a plurality of bits for transmission from the interleaved bits.

Polar coding systems, procedures, and signaling

Methods, systems, and devices for addressing collisions of possible random access channel (RACH) occasions. A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may receive an indication of semi-static UL/DL information including configuration of RACH occasions in a remaining minimum system information (RMSI) and an indication of one or more actually transmitted synchronization signal (SS) blocks. The WTRU may then assess whether there are RACH occasions based on the configuration information and determine whether any of the RACH occasions are valid, wherein the RACH occasion may be valid based on Based on the RACH occasion is after all actually transmitted SS blocks indicated and/or whether an SS block override is disabled or enabled. The WTRU may transmit a RACH in one or more of the RACH occasions that have been determined to be valid.

Initial access and channel access in new radio/new radio-unlicensed (NR/NR-U)

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a constellation symbol that includes indications that each are associated with a respective WTRU of a plurality of WTRUs. The WTRU may determine that a first weight associated with a first indication of the indications is different than a second weight associated with a second indication of the indications. The indications may comprise indications of bits modulated at a multi-user constellation bit division multiple access modulator (MU-CBDMAM).
