A printing apparatus includes: a print head; a conveyance device; and a control device configured to perform control of printing a print image, including: obtain image data indicating an input image; generate print data for printing the print image for each line based on the image data, the generating of the print data including: shifting the dots composing the input image in the sub-scanning direction to form the dots composing the print image; and reduce a width of a plain area in the sub-scanning direction of the print medium, the plain area being an area where the print image is not printed over the entire area of the plain area in the main scanning direction on the print medium.

A printing apparatus includes a print head, a conveyance device and a control device configured to: obtain image data each corresponding to a respective divided image; generate print data, including combining at least two lines of a plurality of lines obtained by dividing the divided image; print the print image based on the print data; determine whether to perform printing based on next print data after performing the printing based on one print data; if yes, stop printing of a predetermined number of lines from an end of the one print data when performing the printing based on the one print data; and combine a first line of the one print data and a second line of the next print data, the number of the first and the second lines corresponding to the predetermined number of the lines.

A printing device includes: a motor; a rotary body driven by the motor to rotate; a movable blade driven by rotation of the rotary body to cut a printing tape; a gear mechanism provided on a power transmission path from the motor to the movable blade; a first detector outputting a first signal based on a rotated position of the rotary body; a second detector outputting a second signal based on the rotated position, and a controller performing positioning the rotary body to a predetermined reference rotated position. The positioning includes: starting rotating the rotary body in one direction on the basis of the first signal at the time of starting the positioning; halting the rotation in the one direction of the rotary body on the basis of the second signal; and rotating the rotary body in the opposite direction for a prescribed time period after the halting is completed.

System and methods for storing template data and creating printed matter based upon same

The disclosure discloses a printer including a CPU that executes a detection process, a first determination process, and a first mode switching process. In the detection process, a type of a storage body is detected. In the first determination process, it is determined on the basis of a detection result whether the type of the storage body attached to the attaching part is a first type in an ordering state associated with insufficiency in quantity or a second type other than the first type.
