Various systems and methods for providing network services are described herein. In one example, a method includes receiving, via a first processor, a network packet from a source device. The method can also include sending, via the first processor, the network packet to a second processor if a service subsystem and a service are responsive. Furthermore, the method can include modifying, via the second processor, the network packet or generating a new packet based on the service. The method can also include receiving, via the first processor, the modified network packet or the new network packet from the second processor. The method can also further include sending, via the first processor, the modified network packet or the new network packet to a destination device.

Routing device with independent service subsystem

In some locations, such as airports, drivers that provide passenger transport must wait a significant distance away from the pickup location. To reduce the delay between a passenger requesting a ride and being picked up, drivers are pre-dispatched before being assigned to specific passengers. The demand for a future time period is predicted and the number of drivers that should be pre-dispatched to meet that demand is estimated. The estimated number of drivers is sent pre-dispatch instruction indicating they should leave the waiting area and head towards the pickup location.

An operating system provides an extensible share action to broker content sharing between applications executing on a computing platform such as a personal computer, tablet computer, or smartphone. Source applications may describe what content is shareable given the current state of their application when the user chooses to invoke the share action. The present invention is related to display technology. Embodiments of the present invention provide a display panel and a method for fabricating the same which can prevent light leakage of the display panel. The display panel comprises a central area and a peripheral area surrounding the central area, wherein the central area is applied with horizontal electric field or multi-dimensional electric field, the peripheral area is applied with vertical electric field.

The subject matter described herein relates to light based positioning. In one embodiment, a method comprises: responsive to receiving a light signal from at least one light source available to the device, decoding a beacon from the received light signal, the beacon associated with the at least one light source; measuring signal strength of the received light signal; and determining a position of the device at least in part based on the decoded beacon, the measured signal strength, and number of the at least one light source. An implementation of location estimation using image analysis is described. In this implementation, an image of a place is obtained and matched with previously stored images. The matching may be achieved by employing methods based on key feature extraction algorithm, color histogram analysis, pattern matching or other image comparison techniques. Upon determining a match, the location information associated with the image provides the location. The location information may be in the form of location tags or location keywords and the location information may be used by the user or other applications for the purposes of location determination. The technique allows for the user to enter location information. The location information may be assigned to the previously stored images residing in local and remote databases for users and applications to assign information or keywords to images.

Disclosed herein are techniques and systems for performing wireless-based localization using a zonal framework. An area (i.e., surface or space) may be partitioned into multiple zones, and one or more signal propagation models for one or more wireless access points (APs) may be generated for each zone. The result is a set of zonal signal propagation models that allow for improved model fitness on a per-zone basis. A process includes receiving a location query associated with a wireless communication device, selecting a target zone among multiple available zones of an area, and estimating a location of the wireless communication device based at least in part on one of a signal propagation model associated with the target zone or a fingerprint-based localization. The signal propagation model associated with the target zone may be generated based on training samples observed exclusively within the target zone.
