A solid surface wettability determination method is disclosed. A liquid is sprayed on a surface of an object. A light beam is projected toward the surface, wherein the light beam is reflected by the liquid on the surface to generate a reflected light. The reflected light is received by an optical detector, and the optical detector outputs a determining signal related to a wettability of the surface according to the reflected light. A corresponding signal-angle relation is selected from a database according to type of the liquid and material of the object. The contact angle of the liquid on the surface is obtained by applying the determining signal to the corresponding signal-angle relation.

Solid surface wettability determination method

A surface wettability determination system includes a sprayer, a light emission device and an optical detector. The sprayer is provided to spray a liquid on a detected surface of a detected object. The light emission device is provided to emit a light beam toward the detected surface. The light beam is reflected by the liquid on the detected surface to generate a reflected light. The optical detector is provided to receive the reflected light and output a determining signal, and the determining signal is related to a wettability of the detected surface.

Surface wettability determination method

A composite structure is provided, which includes a support, an active layer wrapping the support, a dendrimer grafted to the active layer through covalent bondings, and a plurality of anti-fouling groups, wherein each of the anti-fouling groups is grafted to terminals of the dendrimer through covalent bondings. The terminals of the dendrimer include amino group, hydroxyl group, or thiol group.

Composite structure

A sensing chip including a substrate, a plurality of metal nanostructures, a first surface modified layer and a second surface modified layer is provided. The metal nanostructures are disposed on the substrate. The first surface modified layer is disposed on a surface of the metal nanostructures, wherein the first surface modified layer includes a plurality of thiol group-containing molecules. The second surface modified layer is disposed on a surface of the substrate, wherein the second surface modified layer includes a plurality of silyl group-containing molecules.

Sensing chip

A method for determining antifouling ability of a material surface is provided. The method includes (a) providing a determining device. The determining device includes a probe and a determining unit with a spring characteristic structure. The probe includes a micro particle or a micro particle and a pollutant fixed on a surface of the micro particle. The probe is fixed at one end of the spring characteristic structure. After the step (a), the method further includes (b) contacting the probe with a material surface-to-be-determined, (c) deforming the spring characteristic structure until the probe departs from the material surface-to-be-determined to recover the spring characteristic structure, and determining the level of the deformation, (d) determining the adhesion value of the probe to the material surface-to-be-determined using the deformation and (e) determining the antifouling ability of the material surface.
