An electrical connector () includes: an insulative housing () defining a number of receiving spaces (); a number of contacts () mounted to the insulative housing for transmitting high speed signal, each of the contacts including a mating portion (), a mounting portion () received in one of the receiving spaces, and a connecting portion () connecting the mating portion and the mounting portion, a gap formed between each mounting portion and corresponding one of the receiving spaces; and a number of insulative members () inserted into the receiving spaces respectively to fill the gaps to adjust the impedance of the contacts.

A cable connector assembly comprises: a first connector module comprising an insulative housing with a plurality of receiving rooms, a plurality of first connectors respectively received into the receiving rooms, a first PCB electrically connected to the plurality of first connectors and a metallic shell enclosing the insulative housing; and a second connector module comprising a second PCB formed therein; a flat wire electrically connecting to the first connector module and the second connector module. One end of the flat wire is electrically connected to the first PCB, and the other end of the flat wire is electrically connected to the second PCB.

Cable connector assembly

A connector () comprises a housing (), an inner board () and a number of contacts () supported by the housing. The housing has a base portion (), a first () and second side wall (). The base portion defines a receiving cavity () for receiving a mating connector along a front-to-back direction. The first () and second side wall () are parallel to each other and backwardly extending from the base portion to defining a mounting room (). The inner board is inserted into the mounting room along a back-to-front direction. The inner board has a first flange () cooperated with the first side wall, and a second flange () cooperated with the second side walls. The first side wall has a length greater than the second wall, and the first flange has a length smaller than the second flange. This relationship is used to prevent incorrect orientation of the inner board in the housing.

A cable end connector includes an insulating housing defining a rear cable-location portion thereof, a plurality of conductive terminals including contacting portions and terminal portions located in the rear cable-location portion, a plurality of cables each having wires and a connecting bar defining a first touching end and a second touching end. The wires of the cable overlap the terminal portions one by one except one wire and one terminal portion. The first touching end overlaps one terminal portion and the second touch end overlaps said one wire so as to establish an electrical connection through the connecting bar between said one terminal portion and one wire.

A strain relieving element, comprising: a front surface, a rear surface opposite to the front surface, an intermediate portion connecting the front surface to the rear surface, a receiving passage passing through the front surface and the rear surface, two rows of through cavities extending inwardly from the intermediate portion at least, a rib dividing the adjacent through cavities in same row and a convex respectively formed between the adjacent rows of the through cavities, and between the adjacent rows of the ribs. The rib near to the rear surface is bigger than the rib far from the rear surface, the width of the ribs are gradually decreased along an axis direction from the rear surface to the front surface.

Strain relieving element molded on a cable

A strain relieving element, comprising: a front surface, a rear surface opposite to the front surface, an intermediate portion connecting the front surface to the rear surface, a receiving passage passing through the front surface and the rear surface, a plurality of through cavities recessing inwardly from the intermediate portion and communicated with the receiving passage and a plurality of the notches recessing inwardly from the intermediate portion and apart from the receiving passage. The distance between the notches and the rear surface are closer than the distance between the through cavities and the rear surface.

A printed circuit board, comprises an insulative substrate, a grounding layer located on a surface of the insulative substrate and defining a through slot, a plurality of conductive pins located on an outer surface of the printed circuit board; and a fence layer located between the conductive path and the grounding layer. Each conductive pin defines at least a soldering portion. The soldering portion is alignment to the through slot along a vertical direction.

Printed circuit board with good performance on impedance

An electrical connector assembly includes an insulative housing () with a trapezoid space (), a contact module () assembled to the insulative housing, a shell () enclosing the insulative housing and a front cover () enclosing the shell. The shell has a top shell () and a bottom shell () assembled with each other, and the top shell comprises a base portion () and an extension portion () extending backwards from the base portion. The front cover includes a main portion () and a head portion () extending forwards from the main portion, and the head portion is enclosing the base portion, with the main portion enclosing the extension portion of the top shell and the bottom shell.

The metallic shell has a top shell () and a bottom shell () assembled to each other, and the metallic shell also defines a pair of blocking portions () bent from a front end thereof, the blocking portions are perpendicular to a mating direction and adjacent to a front surface of the shielding member.

A cable connector assembly includes a first cable connector (), a pair of cables (), a second cable connector () and a third cable connector (). The first cable connector has a printed circuit board () received therein, a shielding member () enclosing the printed circuit board and an insulative cover () assembled out of the shielding member. The cables are connected with the printed circuit board and extending out of the shielding member, the second cable connector is in accordance with Displayport standard and connected with one of the two cables; and the third cable connector is in accordance with USB standard and connected with another one of the two cables.

A cable connector () for soldering at a predetermined position with a cable () including a number of first wires () each having a conductor (). The cable connector includes an insulative housing (), a number of contact terminals () mounted in the insulative housing, and a pair of shielding shells () assembled to the insulative housing. Each contact terminal has a contact portion () and a tail portion (). Each shielding shell is formed with a grounding portion () extending toward the tail portion of one of the contact terminals. The grounding portion, the tail portion of one of the contact terminals arrive at the predetermined position and are soldered with the conductor of an associated first wire at the predetermined position.

A cable connector assembly includes an insulative housing () having a plurality of contacts () received therein, a shielding () enclosing the insulative housing (), a printed circuit board () connected with tail portions () of the contacts and a cable () connected with the printed circuit board.
