In some examples, as part of an authentication process for an electronic device when connecting to a first access point (AP), an authentication server generates a first key of a hierarchy of keys. The authentication server receives a request from a second AP, and generates a second key based on the first key, the second key being part of the hierarchy of keys. In response to the request, the authentication server distributes the second key from the authentication server to the second AP for use in data protection for communications between the second AP and the electronic device after the electronic device has transitioned from the first AP to the second AP.

Implementations of the present disclosure relate to change-of-authorization (CoA) synchronization via a cloud service. A method at a server comprises receiving a CoA message indicating a CoA role of a mobile station from a first access point (AP) and storing the CoA role of the mobile station. The method further comprises receiving, from a second AP, an authentication message indicating the mobile station has been authenticated at the second AP. The method further comprises obtaining the CoA role of the mobile station and transmitting a CoA request, including the CoA role to the second AP. Implementations of the present disclosure can help the mobile station to obtain its correct CoA role automatically when roaming from a home AP to a target AP.

The present disclosure provides a method and a device for vehicle parking control. The method includes following steps performed according to a predetermined time period until the vehicle stops at an end point: determining () a target position and a target speed when the vehicle arrives at the target position based on a current speed of the vehicle and a distance between a current position and the end point, the target position being on a road where the vehicle is located and in front of the vehicle; determining () a deceleration motion mode for the vehicle based on the current speed of the vehicle and the target speed; and performing () braking control for the vehicle in accordance with a vehicle braking strategy corresponding to the deceleration motion mode. The method can solve the problem in the related art associated with inaccurate vehicle parking control and uncomfortable experience.

Method and device for vehicle parking control

A process includes accessing a first message that is sent from an access point device. The first message includes data representing a second message that is sent by a client device. The second message is part of an exchange of messages between the client device and the access point device associated with authentication of the client device and a derivation of a first key used to encrypt and decrypt data communicated between the client device and the access point device. The second message includes a first message integrity check value. The process includes identifying, based on the second message, a pre-shared key corresponding to the client device. The identification of the pre-shared key includes determining a second message integrity check value based on a candidate pre-shared key of a plurality of candidate pre-shared keys; comparing the second message integrity check value with the first message integrity check value; and based on a result of the comparison, selecting the given candidate pre-shared key as the pre-shared key. Associating pre-shared keys with client devices based on message integrity check values

Examples relate to configuring dynamic user roles that can be managed and distributed by a cloud-based user role service. In this way, dynamic user roles may be distributed in a more scalable manner than has been previously possible. Upon associating or connecting to an access point (AP), for example, a user device can be authenticated and assigned a user role. The AP can request the user role configuration from the cloud-based user role service. The cloud-based user role service can additionally distribute the same user role configuration/details to all neighboring APs. In this way, a user device can move, roam, or otherwise associate to another AP that post-distribution, already has the (dynamic) user role configuration, which can simply be applied to the user device.

Systems and methods are provided for authentication chaining and firewall optimization in a micro branch deployment comprising a plurality of chained access points (APs) and a gateway AP. A topology of the micro branch deployment may be determined through enhanced hierarchical beaconing. Based on the determined topology, an authentication chain is developed through which a client device associated to an AP of the plurality of chained APs may be authenticated and granted access to the AP. Upon authentication of the client device, firewall optimization is performed to implement access control rules only at the AP to which the client device is associated.

The present invention discloses an image foreground matting method based on neighborhood and non-neighborhood smoothness priors. The method primarily comprises the steps of: interactively marking foreground points and background points; initializing &#x3b1; values of each unmarked pixel of the input image by a color sampling method, calculating confidence degree of the pixel, and admitting &#x3b1; values of pixels of which confidence degree is larger than a given threshold as known pixels; calculating data term weights, neighborhood smoothness constraint term weights and non-neighborhood smoothness constraint term weights of each pixel in the input image to construct graph patterns of all pixels of the input image; and according to &#x3b1; values of the known pixels, under the constraint of the graph patterns, solving probabilities that each pixel belongs to the foreground by minimizing the energy equation so as to obtain alpha mattes.

An approach is provided for determining a user age range. An age estimator causes, at least in part, acquisition of voice data. Next, the age estimator calculates a first set of probability values, wherein each of the probability values represents a probability that the voice data is in a respective one of a plurality of predefined age ranges, and the predefined age ranges are segments of a lifespan. Then, the age estimator derives a second set of probability values by applying a correlation matrix to the first set of probability values, wherein the correlation matrix associates the first set of probability values with probabilities of the voice data matching individual ages over the lifespan. Then, the age estimator, for each of the predefined age ranges, calculates a sum of the probabilities in the second set of probability values corresponding to the individual ages within the respective predefined age ranges. Further, the age estimator determines the predefined age range to associate with the voice data based, at least in part, on the calculated sums of the probabilities.
