An output tray for a printer, a printer comprising the output tray, and a kit of parts including the output tray. The output tray comprises a spool, a guide member, and a sheet attached between to the spool and the guide member. The guide member is movable between a stowed and one or more deployed positions. The sheet is deployed from a stored configuration to one or more in-use positions upon movement of the guide member.

Disclosed is a cutter module to be used with a printing apparatus. The cutter module comprises a blade driving mechanism; and a rotary cutting blade driven by the blade driving mechanism. The blade driving mechanism comprises: a clutch mechanism selectively to enable the blade driving mechanism to drive the rotary cutting blade in a forward cutting direction or a backward direction. Also disclosed is a printing system comprising the cutter module and a method to be used with the cutter module.

There is disclosed a sheet media processing machine comprising a media inlet to receive sheet media along a feed direction from a first side of the machine and a media outlet to discharge sheet media along a discharge direction towards the first side of the machine. There is a feed mechanism to convey sheet media from the media inlet to the media outlet, and a re-feed prevention element disposed upstream of the media inlet with respect to the feed direction to inhibit recirculation of discharged sheet media along an external recirculation path between the media outlet and the media inlet. The re-feed prevention element is exposed to contact with sheet media and comprises an elastomer. There is also disclosed a feed guide comprising a re-feed prevention element, and a method in which such a feed guide is installed on a sheet media processing machine.

In one example, a holder for a media roll includes a first support to support a first end of the roll, a second support to support a second end of the roll, and a shifter to change the distance between the first support and the first end of the roll without changing the distance between the second support and the second end of the roll.

Printhead firing methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture are disclosed. An example printhead firing method disclosed herein comprises determining a position of a printer carriage corresponding to a location at which a first encoder strip is concatenated with a second encoder strip, and adjusting timing of printhead firing pulses when the printer carriage is determined to have reached the position as the printer carriage is moved.
