A suspension device for a springy suspension of a mass body relative to an understructure, for instance suspension of a driver cabin of a truck relative to a vehicle chassis. The suspension device comprises a spring-/damping configuration, located between the mass body and the understructure, for the damping shock and/or vibration and comprising a Watt linkage configuration with two parallel positioned Watt linkages. A length of at least one of the linkage arms, of the Watt linkage, is adjustable by an actuator. The suspension device is low-maintenance, free of play, and is suitable for determining of the levels of freedom of motion, for instance of a driver cabin, as well as for damping or eliminating unwanted movement of the driver cabin. At the same time, roll motions of the driver cabin, with respect to the understructure or the chassis, can be actively prevented.

Suspension device having active watt linkage

A suspension arrangement for spring suspending a mass body () in relation to a substructure (), for example, a driver's cabin () of a heavy goods vehicle in relation to the vehicle chassis () thereof. The suspension arrangement comprises a spring/damper arrangement () which is arranged between the mass body () and the substructure () and which is used to dampen thrusts and/or oscillations. The suspension arrangement in characterized in that it comprises at least one pantograph () which is used to reduce the freedom of movement of the mass body (). The inventive suspension arrangement is constructively robust and can determine the provided freedom of movement of the mass body in a reliable manner and can dampen and/or prevent undesired movements in other spatial directions. The invention enables an economical and a reliable spring suspension, in particular, for a driver's cabin of heavy good vehicles, to be produced.

Wheel suspension for a vehicle (), with a carrier element (), with a wheel carrier (), which is arranged at a spaced location from the carrier element () and which is pivotable about a steering axis (), with a wheel () mounted rotatably on the wheel carrier (), with a steering wheel (), which is mounted rotatably on the carrier element () at least indirectly and by means of which the wheel carrier () is pivotable about the steering axis (), with at least one joint (), which is connected to the wheel carrier () and which has a housing (), a pivot pin () mounted pivotably in same and an angle-measuring device with a magnet () and with a magnetic field-sensitive sensor assembly unit (), and with at least one guide means (), via which the joint () is connected to the carrier element (). A deflection (&#x3c9;) of the pivot pin () relative to the housing () can be determined by means of the angle-measuring device in at least two different directions in space, and the magnetization (M) of the magnet () is oriented such that it extends at right angles to the steering axis ().

Wheel suspension for a vehicle

A wheel suspension for a motor vehicle is described, in which at least a first and at least a second control arm () are coupled in an articulated manner to a wheel carrier () carrying a vehicle wheel (). The wheel suspension has a compensating device () for correcting wheel positions, and each control arm () has a portion of the compensating device () or is connected to a portion of the compensating device (). The compensating device portions () of one wheel are connected to one another by at least one coupling member ().

A stabilizer arrangement for a motor vehicle has a stabilizer (), which is connected to the vehicle chassis and which is connected to a spring-mounted wheel carrier part on each side of the vehicle by a piston-cylinder unit () each. Each of the piston-cylinder units () is formed of at least one piston () arranged movably in a cylinder (), and each is connected in an articulated manner, at one end, to one end of the stabilizer () and, at the other end, to a spring-mounted wheel carrier part. The piston-cylinder units () are connected to a hydraulic pump (). A stop (), against which the respective piston () can be moved, is assigned to each of the cylinders (). By an arrangement of valves, it is made possible for the pistons () to move out of each position in a purposeful manner against the stop () and to hold there in a defined position in order to restore the stabilizer action in a purposeful manner and effectively from any position of the vehicle.

Stabilizer arrangement for a motor vehicle

A suspension device is provided for the spring-loaded suspension of a weight body () relative to a substructure () such as a vehicle body, a cab () of a truck relative to the vehicle chassis (). The suspension device has a spring/absorber device () arranged between the weight body () and the substructure () for absorbing shocks and vibrations. The suspension device includes at least one Watt's linkage arrangement () connecting the weight body and the substructure for reducing the degrees of freedom of motion of the weight body (). The suspension device requires little maintenance and has little clearance and is suitable for setting the degrees of freedom of motion of the weight body as well as for absorbing and preventing the undesired motions of the weight body along other directions in space. The suspension device thus makes possible an inexpensive and reliably operating suspension especially of truck cabs.
