An exemplary gas turbine power plant includes a gas turbine with a compressor having a compressor inlet. A combustion chamber follows the compressor and a turbine follows the combustion chamber. A cross section of the compressor inlet includes an inner sector and an outer sector in relation to the axis of rotation of the compressor. A plurality of feed ducts introduces oxygen-reduced gas into the inner sector of the compressor inlet. The plurality of feed ducts is arranged in the compressor inlet so as to be distributed in a circumferential direction on a circle concentrically with respect to the axis of the gas turbine.

Method of operating a gas turbine power plant with exhaust gas recirculation and corresponding gas turbine power plant

A system for regulating condensation of a flue gas in a steam generator is provided. The system includes a temperature controller and a flue gas analyzer. The temperature controller is configured to control a temperature of a component of the steam generator, the component being in heating-contact with the flue gas. The flue gas analyzer is configured to communicate with the temperature controller and to obtain a measurement of an amount of an acid-forming compound in the flue gas. The temperature controller adjusts the temperature of the component based at least in part on the measurement such that the temperature of the component is above an acid dew point of the flue gas when the component is in heating-contact with the flue gas.

System and method for regulating condensation of flue gas in a steam generator

In a method for operating a gas turbine, NOx is removed from the exhaust gases of the gas turbine by means of a selective catalysis device with the addition of NH3. The method achieves an extremely low NOx content while simultaneously achieving economic consumption of NH3 and avoiding NH3 in the exhaust gas by maintaining the NOx content of the exhaust gas at a constant level via a regulated return of a portion of the exhaust gas in varying operating conditions of the gas turbine, and by adjusting the addition of the NH3 in the selective catalysis device to the constant NOx level.

The invention relates to a method for operating a gas turbine system, wherein the gas turbine system includes a compressor, a combustor, a heat recovery steam generator, a scrubber, a direct contact cooler. The method includes introducing the scrubbing fluid discharged from the scrubber into the direct contact cooler, contacting the scrubbing fluid in the direct contact cooler with the exhaust gas discharged from the heat recovery steam generator in order to remove a portion of nitrogen oxide therefrom; feeding the exhaust gas discharged from the direct contact cooler into the compressor. With the technical solution of the present invention, nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas is reduced to a certain extent by means of used scrubbing fluid from the scrubber. This solution may improve the efficiency in reduction of nitrogen oxide with a simple and feasible manner.

A method is disclosed for operating a gas turbine power plant having a gas turbine, a heat recovery steam generator and an flue gas splitter which splits flue gases into a first flue gas flow for recirculation into an inlet flow of the gas turbine and into a second flue gas flow for discharge to an environment. An oxygen-depleted gas can be used in an open cooling system for cooling hot gas parts of the gas turbine. A split compressor intake can be provided for separate feed of recirculated flue gas and fresh air into a compressor intake. Compressor blades can include a separating band which blocks intermixing of recirculated flue gas and fresh air during compression.

Gas turbine power plant with flue gas recirculation and oxygen-depleted cooling gas

A method is provided for operating a gas turbine power plant with flue gas recirculation, in which the flue gases are split into a first flue gas flow for recirculation into an intake flow of the gas turbine and into a second flue gas flow for discharging to the environment. The first flue gas flow is cooled in a recooler before its mixing with ambient air for forming the intake flow. The recirculation flow, after being recooled, is reheated in order to avoid condensation of vaporous water contained in the recycled flue gases during cooling as a result of the mixing with the ambient air. A gas turbine power plant is provided with flue gas recirculation, which includes a heat exchanger for reheating the recirculation flow after being recooled.

Provided is a control method for a gas turbine plant having a first and a second combustors in series, such that combustion gases produced in the first combustor flows into the second combustor. The second combustor having a fuel lance with internal partitions, for injecting at least one fuel and a gas having a mixture of inert gas and support air into the second combustor. The partitions enable the gas to carry, and/or veil, at least one of the fuels as the fuel exits the lance. A variable of the second combustor is measured and the inert gas to support air mixture varies in response to variations of the variable so as to at least partially compensate for the operational effects of the variable on the operation of the second combustor.

In method for operating a gas turbine (), the compressed air is fed to a combustor () for the combustion of a coal syngas, and the resulting hot gases are expanded in a subsequent turbine (). Some of the compressed air is separated into oxygen and nitrogen, and the oxygen is used for producing the syngas. A fuel lance for a gas turbine installation with sequential combustion, in which hot gas is produced in a first combustion chamber and expanded in a subsequent turbine, and then flows through a subsequent second combustion chamber in which the fuel lance for injecting fuel into the hot gas is arranged. The fuel lance has a lance section which extends in the flow direction of the hot gas and includes at least an outer tube which is arranged concentrically to a lance axis, and a center tube which is concentrically arranged in the outer tube and in which the fuel is guided to the lance tip and is injected through first injection openings in the region of the lance tip into the hot gas. The fuel lance is modified for operation with syngas by the first injection openings being arranged directly on the lance tip, and by the first injection openings being oriented so that the fuel jets which emerge from them include an acute angle with the lance axis.

The compressed air is fed to the first combustion chamber () for combusting a first fuel, and the gas which issues from the first turbine () is fed to the second combustion chamber () for combusting a second fuel. Increased flexibility and safety in operation is achieved by different fuels being used as first and second fuel.
