Electrode materials and binder materials are used for lithium cells, such as lithium ion cells. To optimize the specific power [W/kg] or power density [W/l] and specific energy [Wh/kg] or energy density [Wh/l], at least one electrically conducting, polymeric binder is used which is selected from the group consisting of polyphenylenes, polypyrroles, polyanilines, polythiophenes and lithium salts thereof. The at least one electrically conducting, polymeric binder is used in a lithium cell.

Binder materials for anode and cathode materials of lithium cells

A battery cell includes a membrane configured to curve outwards when pressure inside the battery cell increases, thereby creating an electrically conductive connection between two poles. A conductor is arranged on an outside of the membrane and is connected to the battery cell such that the outward-curving membrane lifts the conductor from the membrane on one side such that the poles are electrically connected to one another via the conductor.

A metal-oxygen battery system, in particular a lithium-oxygen battery system, includes at least one battery cell, in particular a lithium-oxygen cell, including an oxygen cathode, a metal anode, and a metal ion-conducting separator situated between the cathode and the anode. To increase the current carrying capacity, the battery system also includes a turbomachine system which is connected to the oxygen cathode in a gas-conducting manner and which may be switched over between a suction function and a blowing function, and/or an exhaust gas supply line for supplying a gas low in oxygen to the oxygen cathode. Also described is a corresponding operating method.

An electrolyte, an electrolyte solvent, and an electrolyte additive, in particular for a lithium cell, include at least one ether. The at least one ether has at least one of the general chemical formula: R11R12R13C&#x2014;(CR14R15)x1-[O&#x2014;(CR31R32)a-(CR33R34)b]c-O&#x2014;(CR24R25)x2-CR21R22R23 and of the general chemical formula: R41R42R43C&#x2014;(CR44R45)y1-O&#x2014;(CR54R55)y2-CR51R52R53.

A lithium cell includes a negative electrode and a positive electrode. In order to increase the safety and service life of the cell, the cell also includes at least one porous protective layer arranged between the negative electrode and the positive electrode. The protective layer includes at least one alkaline-earth metal carboxylate.

A galvanic element includes at least one lithium-intercalating and at least one lithium-deintercalating electrode. A positive electrode and a negative electrode are separated by a polyimide-based separator that has a labyrinth porosity. The polyimide-based separator is configured at least on one side with a porous, ceramically-based coating that comprises a binder and ceramic particles.

A solid electrolyte, particularly a lithium-conductive solid electrolyte, can be obtained from a glass-ceramics process. A glass-ceramics process can be used to produce a solid electrolyte, particularly a lithium-conductive solid electrolyte. The solid electrolyte can be LAGP, i.e. LiAlGe(PO)modified by a crystallization nucleation agent.
