A method for controlling an interaction between droplet targets and a high power and high-repetition-rate laser beam at a laser focus position of the laser beam including providing a droplet generator for generating a train of droplets as a droplet target with a predetermined droplet frequency and velocity in a predetermined direction; providing a high power, high-repetition-rate laser for emitting a pulsed laser beam, which is focused in the laser focus position; aligning the droplet generator such that the train of droplets runs through the laser focus position; generating a train of droplets as a droplet target; and emitting a pulsed laser beam in synchronization with the train of droplets, such that the droplet target interacts with the pulsed laser beam at the laser focus position.

Method for controlling an interaction between droplet targets and a laser and apparatus for conducting said method

An electrical cable for power and data transmission between two electronic devices, consisting of a first flexible wire, which includes at least four power transmission lines and at least four data lines as well as a plug according to the USB standard and a multi-polar plug, and of an additional flexible wire, which includes at least two data lines and at least two power transmission lines as well as a USB plug. The first flexible wire and the additional flexible wire together form a Y-shaped cable and make possible a power and a data transmission between two electronic devices simultaneously.

A high-frequency generator for high-frequency surgery is driven by a d.c. voltage supply. This d.c. voltage supply has a first working mode for transferring energy in a direction of the high-frequency generator, and also a second working mode for transferring energy in an opposite direction. With this arrangement, a particularly fast and efficient regulation of output voltage of the generator is possible. Therefore a reliable first cut may be performed on different kinds of tissue without any coagulation. Furthermore, owing to a high efficiency, a particularly small constructional size can be achieved.

High-frequency surgical generator

A high-frequency generator for high-frequency surgery comprises a power generator for supplying high frequency energy at a base frequency. A standardizing factor is determined, with which an output variable from the power generator must be scaled in order to attain a given desired value. Furthermore, harmonics of the base frequency are determined from the output variable and scaled using this factor. By means of an input, the thus obtained signal now controls the output power of the generator. With this arrangement, a reliable first cut may be performed on various kinds of tissue without occurrence of any coagulation.

High-frequency surgery generator

A medical instrument, in particular a generator for high-frequency surgery, comprises setting elements for presetting functions, and also functional elements for performing functions according to the settings. A controller interrogates the setting elements and controls the functional elements accordingly. Furthermore, a safety controller is provided for performing plausibility checks with the aid of information from the setting elements and also the functional elements, and for deactivating, or putting into a safe operating condition, the functional elements in the case of inadmissible working conditions.
