The present invention relates to flame retardant thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) compositions that are prepared by compounding certain TPU's and with a polyphosphonate homopolymer or copolymer, and more specifically TPU compositions that pass ASTM E84 Class 1 and UL94 V0 ratings. The invention also relates to compositions that further include an inherently dissipative polymer to provide a TPU composition that has flame retardant properties, electrostatic discharge performance, good clarity and/or transparency, or any combination thereof.

Flame retardant thermoplastic polyurethane compositions

The present invention relates to electrostatic dissipative polycarbonate compositions that are prepared by combining an aromatic polycarbonate polymer with a thermoplastic polyurethane based inherently dissipative polymer and a compatibilizer component that comprises a second thermoplastic polyurethane. This second thermoplastic polyurethane is a reaction product of (a) at least one polyol intermediate, (b) at least one diisocyanate, and (c) at least one chain extender, wherein (a), the polyol intermediate comprises a polycaprolactone polyol, a polycarbonate polyol, or combinations thereof.

Electrostatic dissipative polycarbonate compositions

The invention relates to an electrode binder composition, an electrode made using the described binder composition, and an electrochemical cell made using the described electrode, where the all of these materials are made using a composition of a poly(dialkylene ester) thermoplastic polyurethane composition. The electrode is made using the described thermoplastic polyurethane and an electrode active material. The electrochemical cells can be made using the described electrodes and also using (i) membranes and/or separators made using the described poly(dialkylene ester) thermoplastic polyurethane composition; (ii) an electrolyte system based on the described poly(dialkylene ester) thermoplastic polyurethane composition; or (iii) a combination thereof.

Polyurethane-based electrode binder compositions and electrodes thereof for electrochemical cells

The present invention relates to a melt processable copolyetheramide made by reacting (a) one or more segments of polyamide hard blocks derived from a lactam-terminated diisocyanate and a lactam monomer, and (b) one or more segments of polyether soft blocks derived from a polyether diol. The invention further provides for methods of making said copolyetheramide, including a continuous extruder method of production.
