A light apparatus that includes a light assembly having a control module to control an operating mode of light sources in a light array, including control a sequence of light and an intensity of light emitted from each light source in the array. A housing assembly for the light assembly includes an inner housing having a first material layer defining a first faceted member to receive the light assembly and permit emission of light from the light sources therethrough, and an outer housing having a second material layer defining a second faceted member to receive the inner housing to refract and project the light emitted through the inner housing in a predetermined or random direction and predetermined or random pattern. The predetermined or random pattern includes a patterned shadow formed from an internal refraction of light in different directions as light passes through the second material layer, thereby creating a visual appearance of dynamic movement of the predetermined or random pattern relative to a surface to be illuminated or an area in three-dimensional space to be illuminated.

A solar-powered, collapsible lantern that employs a frame assembly of an umbrella and which is movable between a collapsed, storage position and an expanded, deployed position. The solar-powered lantern includes a plurality of light sources supported by the frame assembly for illumination of the lantern and the surrounding environment when the lantern is manipulated from a collapsed, storage position to an expanded, deployed position. The solar-powered lantern may include a removable hook to suspend the lantern from a suspension point. The hook may be interchanged with a removable stake that is insertable into a support surface, to support or otherwise anchor the lantern on the support surface. The power source may include at least one solar panel configured for selective movement to permit adjustable orientation of the at least one solar panel relative to the sun.

The outer frame is to receive a fluid such that at least one first orifice arranged therein is to discharge a portion of the fluid in a first direction outwardly therefrom to cause rotation of the outer frame, and at least one second orifice arranged therein is to discharge a portion of the fluid in a second direction inwardly therefrom to contact a surface of inner frame and thereby cause rotation of the inner frame.

A decorative lawn ornament including a rotatable carrier having a plurality of blades. At least one light-emitting device is arranged on each of the plurality of blades to emit light from the blades. A solar panel is provided to receive and collect sunlight, and a photoswitch is automatically operable between an activated state during instances of insufficient sunlight to thereby activate the light-emitting device, and a deactivated state during instances of sunlight to thereby deactivate the light-emitting device. The decorative lawn ornament is operable such that when a flow of air strikes it, the blades rotate and a decorative member rotates to control an orientation of the blades and the light emitted by the light-emitting devices.
