A direction-finding device based on coupled and detuned spoof localized surface plasmons, comprising a dielectric substrate with a metal coating at the bottom and two evenly-grooved metal discs with different sizes or materials. The two grooved metal discs represent two spoof localized surface plasmonic resonators, i.e., SLSP1 and SLSP2, with different resonance frequencies due to their different sizes or materials. SLSP1 and SLSP2 are distributed on the dielectric substrate along the diagonal of the dielectric substrate, with the center of the dielectric substrate as a symmetrical center, to form a coupled and detuned spoof localized surface plasmonic system. In response to the incoming waves from different directions, SLSP1 and SLSP2 support spoof localized surface plasmonic modes with different phase differences. According to the phase difference, the incident angle of the incoming waves can be determined uniquely.

A system and method for supplying a backup product in an air separation device, as well as a system and method for supplying a lower-pressure product to a user by means of pressurization of a cryogenic liquid pump during normal operation of an air separation device, i.e., when the cryogenic liquid pump is in the cold standby state. By means of the system and method, a cryogenic liquid product taken from a storage tank is pressurized by the cryogenic liquid pump to produce a lower-pressure product by taking full advantage of the low-speed operation of the cryogenic liquid pump in the cold standby state, and the lower-pressure product is transmitted to product supply lines of a user, to achieve the function of supplying the lower-pressure product to the user. The system and method not only reduce the energy loss of the cryogenic liquid pump in the cold standby state for a long time, but also avoid the bleeding rate of the cryogenic liquid product generated by sending a part of the cryogenic liquid product back to the storage tank, so that the advantage of quickly starting the cryogenic liquid pump from the cold standby state is ensured, and the requirements of the user to the higher-pressure product and the lower-pressure product can be satisfied.

The present invention is a device for conveniently collecting and storing liquid samples, as well as applying an aliquot of the sample to a test device, such as a lateral flow immunoassay. The present invention comprises an absorbent swab and a dropper container containing an expression means for expressing the collected sample from the swab. After the collected sample has been expressed into the reservoir of the device, the device is capped. The device can be inverted over a test device, the sides of the reservoir squeezed and an aliquot of the sample applied, in a drop-wise manner, to the sample application well of the test device. The present invention is particularly useful for collecting viscous samples, such as saliva or oral fluid, in a drug of abuse testing setting.
