The present disclosure relates to an external fixator for orthopedic use, in particular for the treatment of calcaneus fractures, comprising: a rigid support for a first clamp for fixing bone screws; a second support for a second clamp that is hinged at an end of the rigid support; a third support for a third clamp that is hinged at an end of the rigid support; the rigid support being configured as a guide with the first clamp slidingly mounted thereon. The fixator according to the invention is made of radiolucent material with joint elements comprising partially radiolucent or radiopaque materials and configured to allow orienting the bone screws held by the clamps in directions that are tilted to each other.

External fixator for calcaneus fractures

A bone screw for Charcot foot includes a non-threaded intermediate portion between threaded tip and head portions. The intermediate portion is longer than the tip and head portions. The head portion has an outer diameter larger than the intermediate and tip portions. The screw includes at least one transverse hole on the intermediate portion with a circular cross-section which is arranged for inserting a pin to prevent migration of the screw. The screw includes a helical groove on the intermediate portion. The head portion is removably coupled to the intermediate portion by a shape coupling between two profiles which allows only one relative coupling orientation or at least two relative coupling orientations rotated by a specific angular distance with respect to each other. The head portion is coupled to the intermediate portion by a shape coupling between two profiles comprising a radial groove and a radial relief.

An orthopaedic stapler () comprising orthopaedic pliers () and an orthopaedic staple () integrally formed at the distal ends of the pliers (). The orthopaedic staple () comprises a beam portion () and two insertion brackets () at the two opposite ends () of the beam portion () and substantially transverse with respect to the beam portion (). The orthopaedic pliers () comprise two lever arms () integrally connected to the orthopaedic staple () by means of connection portions () at the two opposite ends () of the beam portion (). The connection portions () are breakable along breakage sections (). The lever arms () comprise at least one first projecting element (), at least one second projecting element (), the first projecting element () on one lever arm () being directed towards the second projecting element () on the other lever arm (). The first projecting element () and the second projecting element () are provided with a reciprocal engaging mechanism ().

Orthopaedic stapler

The present invention relates to an improved orthopaedic device for athrodesis, in particular for the arthrodesis or fusion of a joint, for example an ankle joint, of the type comprising of a nail having head and tip ends opposed to each other; at least a first portion of the nail having an axis of symmetry; a single circular first transverse hole made in the first portion near the head of the nail and extended according to its own axis perpendicularly to the axis of symmetry; a slotted second transverse hole still made in the first portion of the nail and extended perpendicular to both the first axis of symmetry; and to the axis of the first transverse hole; and the slotted second transverse hole being made at a greater distance with respect to the head of the nail than the distance from the head of the first transverse hole.

Arthrodesis device

The present invention relates to a bone plate internal fixator device () for epiphysiodesis, comprising a pair of holding elements (), each one of the holding elements () respectively comprising a through hole () configured for receiving a respective fixing screw () to a bone; the bone plate internal fixator device () further comprises a central portion () which structurally connects and constrains the holding elements () with each other; the central portion () is flexible so as to allow flexing of the bone plate (); each said through hole () comprises a threaded surface () adapted to couple with a corresponding surface () of the respective fixing screw (); the holding elements () and the central portion () are provided as a composite structure.

Bone plate internal fixator device

A targeting system () for the guided insertion of a guide wire () or a bone screw comprising: a stabilization body () fixed to the bone by means of stabilization screws (); a guide sleeve () adapted to receive a guide cannula () for the insertion of the guide wire () or bone screw; articulated connection means () adapted to connect the stabilization body () to the guide sleeve () and allow the relative spatial position of the guide sleeve () to be varied with respect to the stabilization body ().

Targeting system for the guided insertion of a guide wire or a bone screw

An endosseous screw assembly for an internal fixation system, comprising: a stem extending longitudinally and having at least one threaded distal portion for allowing anchoring to a bone site of a patient; a connection sleeve suitable for introduction inside a connection hole of a fixation member; and a ring nut rotatably mounted on the connection sleeve. The ring nut may be threadably mounted on the connection sleeve and may comprise a rim with teeth designed to cooperate with a step formed on the fixation member, in the vicinity of the connection hole, so as to prevent rotation of the ring nut with respect to the fixation member when the connection sleeve is introduced into the connection hole of the fixation member. The ring nut may further comprise multiple deformable interference fit components which lie along a conical portion of the connection sleeve.
