A door system includes a corridor sized to allow humans to move through the corridor, the corridor having a first door located at a first end; a second door located at the second end; a controller operatively connected to the first and second doors for controlling the first and second doors; a first sensor oriented to detect an object on the floor, the first sensor operatively connected to the controller and a second sensor oriented to detect an object above the floor in the corridor wherein the second sensor is operatively connected to the controller and the controller is configured to one of: a) turn off the second sensor when the first sensor detects an object on the floor and b) not respond when the second sensor detects and object above the floor when the first sensor detects and object on the floor.

Secure exit lane door

A door system includes a sliding door panel and a cover. The sliding door panel is configured to slide within an opening and includes a frame forming at least a portion of a perimeter of the panel. The frame comprises a first material and includes a first frame member having a leading edge to slide into abutment with a surface adjacent to the panel, a trailing edge, and opposing sides connecting the leading and trailing edges. At least one side of the opposing sides includes a ridge protruding. The cover is configured to encase at least a portion of the leading and trailing edges. The cover comprises a second material and includes a groove formed into an interior surface of the cover and extending along a length of the cover, the groove configured to receive the ridge to retain the cover on the first frame member.

Shock insulating door system and method

A self disinfecting door system and method is described, including: a door, and an ultraviolet (UV) light in the proximity of the door and configured to shine at at least a portion of the door when activated. The UV light may be directed at the door to the exclusion of other portions of the surrounding environment. The UV light is mounted on the wall or floor proximate the door. Additionally, there may be a nozzle adjacent the door and configured to release a disinfecting fluid directed at the door when activated.

Manual and automatic disinfecting door system and method

A door system is provided. The door system includes: a corridor sized to allow humans to move through the corridor, the corridor defined, at least in part by side walls, the corridor having a first end and a second end; a first door located at the first end, the first door configured to provide selective access between the corridor and a space outside of the corridor; a second door located at the second end, the second door configured to provide selective access between the corridor and a space outside of the corridor; and sensors configured to determine a direction of movement within the corridor, the sensors operatively connected to at least one of the first and second doors to cause at least one of the first and second doors to move to a closed position if any of the sensors detect a movement further than a threshold amount in an undesired direction.

A door system includes a track spanning a doorway defined by a trailing jamb and an opposing lead jamb, a sidelite panel coupled to the trailing jamb by a swing clear hinge, and first and second slide panels moveable within the track. The trailing jamb includes a jamb face facing in a first direction. The swing clear hinge includes a fixed portion engaged with a revolving portion. The fixed portion is offset from the jamb face in a second direction and secured by a jamb attachment member to the jamb face. The first and second slide panels have an open configuration in the track with the revolving portion offset from the jamb face in the second direction. The panels are configured to pivot out of the track into a breakout configuration. The sidelite panel is offset from the jamb face in the second direction in the breakout configuration.

A cover for attachment to a header of a door system. The cover may have a motor compartment, a pulley compartment, and a first window. The motor compartment may be configured to at least partially enclose a motor and the pulley compartment may be configured to at least partially enclose a pulley, where the motor is operably attached to the pulley to drive a drive member. The first window may be configured to receive a portion of the drive member extending through an exterior wall of the cover.

Particulate-capturing cover for a movable barrier operator

A method for replacing a spring in a swing door operator includes releasing a first end of the spring, pivoting the first end with respect to a housing about a spring mount supporting a second end of the spring, and sliding the spring away from the spring mount in a direction extending from the second end toward the first end. The housing encloses drive components of the swing door operator when in an operational configuration.

Disclosed herein is a sliding door system including a motor, a driveshaft coupled to the motor, and a coupling mechanism fastened to the sliding door. The coupling mechanism is configured to convert rotation of the driveshaft into linear motion of the sliding door, such that movement of the coupling mechanism is directly correlated to movement of the sliding door. The sliding door system also includes a rotary encoder, a belt mechanically coupled to the coupling mechanism. The belt, as moved by the coupling mechanism, is configured to turn the rotary encoder as the sliding door moves, such that movement of the rotary encoder is directly correlated to movement of the sliding door and not directly correlated to movement of the motor and driveshaft.

Sliding barrier tracking system

A door system includes a door having a frame forming at least a portion of a perimeter of the door and a sleeve configured to encase at least a portion of the frame. The frame is constructed from a first material and the sleeve is constructed from a different second material. The first material may be electrically conductive and the second material may be electrically insulating. Alternatively or additionally, the first material may be susceptible to wear and tear and the sleeve may be resilient and replaceable.

A flush bolt assembly includes a latch bolt that has a head and a body. The body has an interior cavity that is defined by a plurality of walls. A guide slot is formed in a pair of sidewalls. The assembly also includes a sleeve that defines a through hole that is configured to receive a pin. A biasing member is disposed within the interior cavity, and it is configured to store energy upon being compressed between the sleeve and the latch bolt.

A swing door operator having a powered driver operable to manipulate a drive unit that rotates a spindle to open a door. As the door is opened, the drive unit compresses a spring engaged with a spring mount that is pivotally connected to the drive unit. The spring mount is pivotable between an operating configuration in which the spring is arranged to be compressed by the drive unit as spindle rotates in the first direction and to expand thereafter to rotate the spindle in a second direction opposite the first direction, and a servicing configuration in which the spring is slidably removable from the spring mount.

A control system for a door includes: a controller; a door motor configured to be operatively connected to the controller; an object sensor configured to be operatively connected to the controller and to detect a presence of an object; and an operation sensor configured to be operatively connected to the controller and to detect movement of a door, and wherein the controller is configured to send a operation signal to the door motor to cause the door motor to operate when the controller detects both: a signal from the object sensor indicating that the operation sensor has detected the presence of and object; and a signal from the operation sensor indicating that the operation sensor has detected movement.

A guide pin support system may include: a first support plate; a second support plate pivotally attached to the first support plate; a first guide pin supported by the first support plate; a second guide pin supported by the second support plate and the second guide pin pivotable with respect to the first guide pin.

A system for detecting a threat at a facility, such as a weapon, and automatically implementing security procedures including opening and/or closing doors of the facility to isolate the threat from facility occupants. Additionally or alternatively, one or more egress routes may be established by opening and/or closing certain doors to aid facility occupants in evacuating the facility while avoiding the threat.
