A steering unit of an electric vehicle is equipped with an electric motor having a tubular output shaft assembled so as to rotate around its own longitudinal axis, and a steering rod assembled through the output shaft and connected to the same output shaft by means of a screw-nut screw coupling so as to control the steering of a pair of wheels of the vehicle; the steering rod being equipped with a sleeve extending around the output shaft and having an internal thread connected to an external thread of the same output shaft.

Steering unit for an electric vehicle

A steering unit of an electric vehicle is equipped with an electric motor having a tubular output shaft, through which a steering rod is assembled connected to the same output shaft by means of a recirculating ball screw-nut screw coupling so as to control the steering of a pair of wheels of the vehicle; the screw-nut screw coupling being defined by a train of balls engaged in a recirculating track made up of a first section made between the output shaft and the steering rod, of a second section made through the steering rod, and of two third sections connecting the first and the second section with one another.

A ball screw actuator for aircraft control surfaces includes a lead screw, a motor to set the screw in rotation about its longitudinal axis and a primary body connected to a control surface and engaged on the control screw via a plurality of balls movable on the thread of the screw. A secondary body is connected to the primary body and has an auxiliary portion provided with an engagement surface facing the thread of the lead screw at a predetermined distance; the engagement surface is shaped to engage on the thread of the lead screw. The actuator also includes a device for uncoupling the secondary body from the auxiliary portion in the rotation motion about the longitudinal axis.

Ball screw actuator for aircraft control surfaces

A ball screw shaft, with increased vibration frequency and improved vibration dissipation, having a longitudinal cylindrical internal cavity, closed at its ends by means of inserted terminals or plugs, has in said cavity a filling of granular material with low density and high superficial roughness freely distributed and, moreover, according to a variation of the invention, said longitudinal cylindrical internal cavity has inserted therein a pipe made of composite polymeric material, whose outer surface is made adherent and integral with the inner wall of the longitudinal cylindrical cavity; said pipe having in its longitudinal cavity said filling made of granular material with low density and high superficial roughness.

Ball screw shaft with increased vibration frequency and improved vibration dissipation

A ball screw shaft, having a longitudinal cylindrical internal cavity, closed at its ends by inserted terminals or plugs, housing vibration controlling members in the form of a pair of plied cables fastened tensioned to the inserted terminals or plugs. One or more dissipater elements, having respective through holes for said pair of cables are provided positioned transversely free relative to an inner surface of said longitudinal cavity.

A device for measuring and adjusting pre-loading on bearings, measuring and adjusting both the mounting and operating loads, wherein elements for applying a preloading and return elements are positioned to constitute a single actuator organ, comprising two ring elements for distributing the preloading, whereof at least one is destined to act against the outer race of a bearing and containing interposed between them a kinematic chain imparting thereon a thrust determined by the action of two or more piezoelectric or magnetostrictive element for applying the preloading and return elements; to the actuator organ being associated an annular loading cell connected in an external feedback control system for measuring and adjusting the preloading.
