A diagnostic device () for pathologies of tubular anatomical structures comprises a tubular elongated structure () developing between a proximal end and a distal end and is adapted to be inserted in the tubular anatomical structure, means () for locally dilating the walls of the tubular anatomical structure being associated with the distal end of said elongated structure, said means for locally dilating being movable between a closed position for introducing the device and at least one open position for viewing and evaluating the pathology, and control means being associated with the proximal end of the elongated structure, said control means being operatively connected to said means for locally dilating, in order to move them between the closed position and the open position, and vice versa.

A surgical stapling instrument () comprises a body portion (), a handle () and a staple fastening assembly (). The staple fastening assembly () includes a curved cartridge (), which comprises at least one curved open row of staples, and a curved anvil (), which is adapted to cooperate with the cartridge () for forming the ends of the staples exiting from the cartridge (). The staple fastening assembly () is adapted to allow unobstructed access towards the concave inner faces of the cartridge () and the anvil (). The cartridge () can be moved towards the anvil () from a spaced position for positioning tissue therebetween to a closed position for clamping the tissue. Preferably, a knife is contained within the cartridge () and is positioned such that there is at least one row of staples on at least one side of the knife.

An instrumentation for performing an endoluminal or transluminal anastomosis, comprises an anastomotic ring device including a proximal ring () having two guide wire seats () adapted to slidably receive two guide wires () and a distal ring () having two guide wire seats () adapted to slidably receive the two guide wires (), the proximal ringand the distal ringbeing snap-connectable to each other, a surgical probe () comprising an elongate insertion shaft () and a probe head () adapted to be endoluminally advanced to a proximal tissue portion (), the insertion shaft () defining guide wire canals () extending into two guide wire exit openings () defined in the probe head () and adapted to deliver the distal ends (&#x2033;) of said guide wires () to said proximal tissue portion (). A surgical stapling instrument comprises a cartridge device with a row of staples and a wavy first tissue interface, and an anvil having a wavy second tissue interface which cooperates with the first tissue interface for clamping tissue therebetween and forming the staples exiting from the cartridge device, a staple driving device adapted to drive the staples out of the cartridge device towards the anvil, wherein the staples are non-symmetrical U-shaped with two legs protruding toward the anvil and a transverse basis connecting the legs, wherein the basis is inclined with respect to the longitudinal direction of the legs and has a length greater than the staple projection on a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the legs.

An anastomotic device () is suitable for approximating and keeping close to each other a first tissue portion () and a second tissue portion () intended to form an anastomosis. The anastomotic device () comprises an abutment portion () suitable for the abutment against a surface of the first tissue portion () and a locking portion () suitable for being placed opposite the abutment portion () with respect to the first and second tissue portion (). The locking portion () and the abutment portion () are mutually connectable through the first and second tissue portions approximated, to keep them connected. The anastomotic device () is suitable for being connected to a guide means comprising at least one guide wire (A, B).

A positioning device for deploying at least one locking portion () of an anastomotic device () for drawing together a first tissue portion () and a second tissue portion () to be connected by means of anastomosis is suitable for sliding along a guide means comprising at least one guide wire (A, B) and comprises an elongated structure (). A head () of the positioning device is suitable to be interference-inserted on a distal end of the elongated structure (). The head () comprises elastic tabs () extending from a proximal end of the head and at least one channel () suitable for receiving a guide wire. The head () comprises a distal end defining a thrust surface () for a locking portion () of the anastomotic device ().

Positioning device for deploying at least one locking portion of an anastomotic device and method for carrying out anastomosis in tracts of the digestive tube

A surgical instrument () for performing controlled myotomies, particularly for performing internal anal sphincterotomies, comprises a proximal handle portion (), an elongate insertion shaft () connected with the handle portion () and extending distally therefrom, a distal incision tip () arranged at a distal end of the insertion shaft () and adapted to incise tissue distally to the insertion shaft (), a lateral incision member () arranged at the insertion shaft () and adapted to incise tissue laterally to the insertion shaft (), wherein the lateral incision member () is movable from a rest position, in which it is retracted towards or inside the insertion shaft () and an operational position in which it protrudes laterally from the insertion shaft ().

Traction means () for excising a tissue sample comprising a distal portion (), comprising at least one clip () suitable for being fixed to at least one portion () of tissue to be excised and a proximal portion () suitable for being subjected to traction. Said at least one clip () is suitable for being connected to a distal end () of a suture () to pull the tissue to be excised, said suture () extending between said distal end () and a proximal end corresponding to the proximal portion of said traction means (). Method for endoluminally or laparoscopically excising a tissue sample from areas in a patient's body, traction means and kit

A device for drawing tissues together and creating an anastomosis comprises a main guide wire () suitable to receive and draw anastomotic devices () in order to draw together portions (A; B) of tissues to be joined by means of anastomosis. The main guide wire () is suitable to be shaped like an open ring crossing the portions (A, A'; B, B&#x2032;) of tissues to be joined by means of anastomosis (), wherein the ends of the main guide wire () are different and distinguishable from each other. The main guide wire () has a tubular or hollow structure suitable to house at least one needle for a push or radiofrequency perforation of the tissues.

An anastomotic device, particularly a circular stapler (), comprises a handle () and a stem (). A channel suitable to receive a guide wire at least partially develops along the length of the stapler. The stem () is made of a flexible material, such as to facilitate reaching the site requiring anastomosis. The circular stapler () comprises an anvil () suitable to be introduced on the free end of the stem (). The anvil () comprises a channel () suitable to receive a guide wire () and extending along the anvil, and a portion () suitable to act as a striker against the wall of one of the portions (A; B) of the tissues to be joined.

A diagnostic device for pathologies of tubular anatomical structures comprises a tubular elongated structure having a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end is suitable to be inserted in the tubular anatomical structure. The device includes a means for locally dilating the walls of the tubular anatomical structure that are associated with the distal end of said elongated structure. The means for locally dilating is movable between a closed position for introducing the device and at least one open position for viewing and evaluating the pathology. The device also has a control means on the proximal end of the elongated structure. The control means is operatively connected to the means for locally dilating, in order to move them between the closed position and the open position, and vice versa.
