Noise-abatement for a leading edge wing slat is provided by a noise-abatement airflow shield integral with the lower trailing edge of the slat, wherein the shield is reciprocally autonomously curveable from a substantially planar configuration when the slat is in a retracted position thereof and into a convexly curved configuration when the slat is in a deployed position thereof.

Lightweight passenger seats that are especially adapted for use in aircraft cabins. The seats will include a seat back and a seat bottom having a basin which defines a recessed central interior space, a plurality of straps having opposed ends connected to respective upper edge regions of the basin so as to be positioned under tension over the recessed central interior space; and a cover cushion covering the straps and connected to the basin. The seat back may be connected at opposed sides thereof to upright support members adjacent a lumbar region thereof so as to establish an upper region of the seat back above the lumbar region which is capable of being resiliently flexed between upright and rearwardly inclined positions.

The present patent of invention describes a recycling process to recover fibrous reinforcing material of composite materials, particularly carbon fiber, primary reactor compound (), for the controlled pyrolysis and oxidation of the composite material matrix (resin) at low temperature (400&#xb0; C. to 500&#xb0; C.) and a system for treating waste gases produced by thermal decomposition of composite material matrixes which employs a secondary reactor (), containing within the same a thermal plasma arc (). The main characteristic of the process, within the scope of the carbon fiber recycling, is the possibility of maintaining the fabric web, obtaining fabrics made of pure carbon fiber, without a significant amount of residues and preserving their structural characteristics. The thermal plasma allows managing high temperatures (2,000&#xb0; C. to 15,000&#xb0; C.) in a controlled atmosphere, which allows the dissociation of long chains of molecules into ions that are recombined to produce combustible gases and other acid or alkaline gases that are easily neutralized and retained in gas cleaning systems.
