A method for replacing a working component in an automatic machine has a mapping phase and a working phase. The mapping phase involves defining a first reference point fixed relative to the automatic machine and a position in machine of the working component. The working phase involves: stopping the automatic machine (); starting a procedure of configuration change preparing the automatic machine for a withdrawal of the working component; detecting the first reference point; determining the position in machine of the working component; picking up the working component from the position in machine by means of a gripping device; releasing the working component in a storing position; picking up a replacement working component from a stocking position by means of the gripping device; positioning the gripping device at the position in machine; and inserting and fixing the replacement working component in the position in machine.

Method for replacing a component in an automatic machine

A device for moving tubular bodies, includes a conveyor belt for feeding a plurality of tubular pieces, each extending along a respective axis of extension, in such a way as to provide a succession of groups of tubular pieces where each group is defined by a predetermined number of tubular pieces positioned in succession along the respective axis of extension and transversely offset therefrom. The device includes at least one housing for containing at least one tubular piece inside of which an air cushion is produced by which the tubular piece is transferred translationally outside the housing along its respective axis of extension.

In a cigarette maker comprising a descent channel filled with shredded tobacco by a carding unit and with reclaimed tobacco by a conveyor, the shredded tobacco and the reclaimed tobacco are taken up and transferred by a toothed unit toward an ascent channel, from where both are attracted onto a belt by suction and formed into a continuous stream; the descent channel is split into two distinct portions serving respectively to admit the shredded tobacco and the reclaimed tobacco, whilst the toothed unit comprises a first and a second roller positioned to take up the shredded tobacco and reclaimed tobacco and operating in conjunction with respective impeller rollers.

A unit for forming two layers of tobacco, wherein a stream of shredded tobacco fed in a given direction is intercepted by two side by side dividing devices, each having a suction conveyor belt, one branch of which travels crosswise to a respective portion of the stream to form a respective layer; and both the layers of tobacco are fed by the respective dividing devices to a transfer station where each of the two layers is transferred continuously onto the underside of a respective suction belt for supply to a cigarette rod forming beam.

A method and machine whereby at least two strips of paper, after being supplied with respective continuous layers of shredded tobacco, are fed along a forming beam by respective conveyor belts which are deformed transversely to gradually wind the respective strips about the respective layers and so form respective tubular wrappings, each presenting a respective longitudinal lateral appendix, an inner lateral portion of which is gummed by a respective gumming device and then brought into contact with an outer surface of the respective tubular wrapping to form a respective continuous cigarette rod; the inner lateral portions of the appendixes all facing the same way, and being gummed at an intermediate point of the forming beam.

A method and machine whereby at least two strips of paper, after being supplied with respective continuous layers of shredded tobacco, are fed along a forming beam by respective conveyor belts which are deformed transversely to gradually wind the respective strips about the respective layers and so form respective tubular wrappings, each presenting a respective longitudinal lateral appendix, an inner lateral portion of which is gummed by a respective gumming disk and then brought into contact with an outer surface of the respective tubular wrapping to form a respective continuous cigarette rod; the inner lateral portions being gummed at an intermediate point of the forming beam. The gumming apparatus is located to one side of the forming beam, thereby leaving the other side accessible.
