Coil-forming head to form coils starting from continuous and substantially rectilinear rolled stock, of the type comprising a mandrel rotating around a substantially horizontal axis, containing inside itself a shaped tube conformed as a spiral inside which the rolled stock is introduced, there being included, in cooperation with the outlet end section of said shaped tube, a ring-shaped containing element arranged outside said shaped tube and including at least a segment of inner wall which tapers and diverges towards the outside suitable to allow a controlled expansion of the trailing-end segment of the rolled stock.

A lined spiral-forming pipe (11) for a spiral-forming head of spiralling machines for metallic wire, comprising a plurality of wear-resistant inserts having an inner hollow through which the metallic wire passes and an outer surface connecting with the inner surface of the spiral-forming pipe (11) and an inner through hollow (12). The wear-resistant inserts (10) are substantially all alike with a substantially annular conformation with a longitudinal dimension ('1') mating with the minimum radius of curvature of the spiral-forming pipe (11), and have rounded front faces (10a) at least partly convex. The inner through hollow (12) comprises a first lead-in segment (12a) to introduce the metallic wire and a second following segment (12b) which is substantially cylindrical. Cooling chamber for rolled products

Descaling device employing water to descale blooms, thin slabs, billets, etc., which cooperates with a mould and the zone immediately downstream therefrom, or with an induction furnace or rolling mill stands, the slabs or blooms (11-24) being fed in cooperation with the descaling device at a speed of feed of the order of 1.5-20 meters per minute, but advantageously between 4 and 10 meters per minute, the device consisting of at least one movable arm (12-13) bearing nozzle means (14) delivering descaling water, the movable arm (12-13) being associated with the face of the slab or bloom (11-24) to be descaled and having a working phase, in which the descaling water acts on the surface of the slab or bloom (11-24), and a shut-off phase, in which the descaling water does not act on the surface of the slab or bloom (11-24).
