In example implementations, an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a moveable stage, a print cartridge, a camera, and a processor. The moveable stage is to hold a well plate. The print cartridge holder is to hold a print cartridge that includes a print die over the moveable stage. The camera is located above the movable stage and the print cartridge holder. The camera is positioned such that the movable stage and the print die are within a field of view of the camera. The processor is to calculate a first offset a first offset of the well plate and a second offset of the print die. The movement of the movable stage is controlled by the processor in accordance with the first offset and the second offset.

Print cartridge registration systems

In one example an apparatus can include a controller communicatively coupled to a droplet dispenser to deposit antibody fluid on a matrix of an immunoblotting array, the controller is to align the droplet dispenser with a protein band included in the matrix, instruct the droplet dispenser to deposit a first antibody fluid on to the protein band of the matrix, and instruct the droplet dispenser to deposit a second antibody fluid on to the protein band of the matrix, adjacent to the first antibody fluid.

A system and a method for imaging microfluidic ejectors during operation. An example provides a microscopy system, that includes a plurality of microfluidic ejectors. A mirror is disposed in a droplet path of the plurality of microfluidic ejectors, wherein the droplet path passes through an opening in the mirror. An optical system is focused on the plurality of microfluidic ejectors through the mirror, wherein the optical system comprises a camera.

Microscopy systems

An example apparatus includes a sampling layer to position microscopic objects thereon, a light encoding layer to encode light from passing through the microscopic objects of the sampling layer, the light encoding layer having a substantially flat form, and an imaging layer to capture an image of the sampling layer, the image being encoded by the light encoding layer.

Flat-form imaging for microscopic objects

An example apparatus includes a well plate having an array of wells, a light encoding layer positioned under the well plate, an imaging layer to capture an image of the well plate encoded by the light encoding layer, an array of electrodes positioned on a surface of a bottom floor of the at least one well, and a controller. The light encoding layer is to encode light passing through a microscopic object in at least one well of the array of wells. The light encoding layer has a substantially flat form. The controller is to direct electrical voltage to the electrodes to generate a non-rotating, non-uniform electrical field, the electrical field being to rotate an object in the electrical field.

Rotation and flat-form imaging for microscopic objects

A system and a method for sorting particles are provided. An example of a particle sorting system includes an array that includes a number of microfluidic ejectors. An optical sensor is focused on the array. A controller is used to identify a target particle proximate to a microfluidic ejector, and activate the microfluidic ejector to eject the target particle into a collection vessel.

Particle sorting using microfluidic ejectors

A system and a method for the batch sorting of particles are provided. An example of a batch sorting system includes a microfluidic ejector, a flow channel fluidically coupled to the microfluidic ejector at one end, and a reservoir coupled to an opposite end of the flow channel from the microfluidic ejector. A counter is disposed in the flow channel upstream of the microfluidic ejector to count particles prior to ejection from the microfluidic ejector. An optical sensor is to image the flow channel. A controller is configured to locate a target particle in the flow channel based, at least in part, on the image and capture the target particle in a collection vessel based, at least in part, on a count from the counter.

Batch particle sorting

A surface enhanced infrared absorption stage may include a substrate, a static island extending from the substrate and a movable nano finger extending from the substrate. The static island may have a plasmonically active island cap and a dimension parallel to the substrate of at least one micrometer. The movable nano finger may be aligned with the dimension. The movable nano finger may have a plasmonically active finger cap closable to less than or equal to 5 nm of the island cap.
