A computer-implemented method for determining resources utilized by a service request in a data processing system. The method includes determining monitored relationship types from monitoring data, determining relationship domains, determining intra-domain relationships from relationships that are internal to the relationship domains and determining cross-domain relationships from the intra-domain relationships that are linked between pairs of the relationship domains, and determining resources utilized by the service request from the intra-domain and cross-domain relationships. The domains are derived from one of the relationship types that is monitored by a single monitoring application.

Techniques are provided for automatically creating and using a transform to generate a document in a target format. The large number of primitives represented hinders the interactive exploration of the dataset. Examples of methods are provided for adaptive isosurface extraction that are generally easy to implement and allows the user to decide the degree of adaptivity as well as the choice of isosurface extraction algorithm. The extraction of the isosurface is optimized by warping the volume. In a warped volume, areas of importance (e.g. containing significant details) are inflated while unimportant ones are contracted. Once the volume is warped, any extraction algorithm can be applied. The extracted mesh is subsequently unwarped such that the warped areas are rescaled to their initial proportions. The resulting isosurface is represented by a mesh that is more densely sampled in regions decided as important.
