The present invention relates to a viscoelastic bracing damper (), comprising: a cylinder (); an inner core () extended through the cylinder () without contacting an inner surface of the cylinder (), thereby having a barrel portion formed between the inner surface of the cylinder () and the inner core (); a joint () connecting a front connector () to one end of the inner core (); a stopper () connecting an end connector () to an another end of the inner core (); and characterised by a damping means () extended substantially along a length of the barrel portion; wherein the damping means () is compressed between the inner surface of the cylinder () and the inner core () for absorbing vibration loads.

Viscoelastic bracing damper

The present invention relates to a volumetric compression restrainer (), characterised by: an outer casing () comprising a pair of C-shaped structures interconnected to one another to form a cylinder; a plurality of partitions () arranged in a parallel manner along length of an inner surface of the pair of C-shaped structures with a spacing therebetween; an inner core () extending through the outer casing (), whereby the plurality of partitions () enclosed the inner core (); a plurality of hollow plates () mounted on the inner core (), for spacing and upholding the inner core (); a plurality of damping means () wrapped over the inner core (), arranged in a manner of the plurality of damping means () positioned between the plurality of partitions () and the plurality of hollow plates (); and a connecting means having a front connector () engaged to one end of the inner core () and an end connector () engaged to the other end of the inner core (), for installing the volumetric compression restrainer () to a structure joint.

Volumetric compression restrainer

The present invention relates to a multipurpose viscous damper (), comprising: an outer cylinder (); a core rod () positioned in the outer cylinder (); a core piston () positioned in the middle and surrounded the core rod (); a plurality of bypass pipes () extending along the outer cylinder (), each bypass pipe () being connected to the outer cylinder () adjacent to the two ends of the outer cylinder (); an orifice controller () located on the bypass pipes () for providing initial adjustable damping during low to moderate vibration; and characterized by a pair of inner cylinders () positioned inside the two ends of the core rod (); an inner piston () positioned in each inner cylinder (); a fixed sealing () located at the two end of each of the inner cylinders (); and an orifice () located at the two ends of the inner cylinder () for allowing fluid flowing from the inner cylinder () to the outer cylinder () during movement of inner piston ().

Multipurpose viscous damper

The present invention relates to a wall damper () connected to an upper floor and a lower floor, comprising of a top cap (), a pair of cover plates (), a pair of side members (), and a base (), interconnected to one another to form a framing structure to accommodate a pair of inner panels (), a plurality of damping means (), and a plurality of outer plates (); characterised in that the pair of inner panels () connected vertically to one another by a joint (); the top cap () having a slit () for receiving the pair of inner panels (); the plurality of damping means () bounded to both sides of the pair of inner panels (); the plurality of outer plates () bounded to the plurality of damping means (); a plurality of stiffening members () disposed on a surface of each of the pair of cover plates (); wherein the pair of inner panels (), the plurality of damping means (), the plurality of outer plates () and the pair of cover plates () are arranged in a parallel relationship; wherein the pair of inner panels (), the joint (), the plurality of damping means (), the plurality of outer plates (), and the pair of cover plates (), being provided with a plurality of cavities () and aligned with one another accordingly for a connecting means () transversed therethrough.

Wall damper

The present invention provides a viscoelastic wall panel damping device () that provides damping against multidirectional reacting dynamic loads that include in-plane shear force resistance and out of plane force resistance. The viscoelastic wall panel damping device () of the present invention, including an assembly () having a pair of symmetrically opposing surfaces formed by a pair of damping element planar members () that sandwiches a rigid planar member (). The assembly () being overlaid by a pair of face plates (), a proximal face plate () and a distal face plate (). Aforementioned pair of face plates () and the rigid planar member () of the assembly () having a plurality of vertically oriented stiffener members () comprising of vertically oriented welded strips () of steel disposed with stiffener elements () at spatial intervals along the length of said welded strips of steel (). Aforementioned pair of face plates () further being disposed at respective outer surfaces () with a plurality of horizontal stiffener members ().

Wall panel damping device

The present invention relates to a variable stiffness bracing device comprising: a rectangular frame () having a solid quarter cylinder () at each angle of the rectangular frame (); a pair of leaf spring () attached at each end of the rectangular frame () at the solid quarter cylinder (); a steel rail () fixed on top middle of the rectangular frame (); a core () fixed at the tip of each leaf spring (), the core () is slidable along the steel rail (); a cubic core () located in the middle of the core (); and a rod cable () passes through each end of the rectangular frame () and the core () and ended at the cubic core () located in the middle of the core (). The above provision is advantageous as the present invention deploys wholly mechanical in retrofitting and rehabilitation of structures.
