A method of operating an atmosphere control system to control an atmosphere in a refrigerated container includes operating the atmosphere control system in a start up phase to control an oxygen level in the container; ending the start up phase; and operating the atmosphere control system in a control phase to control the oxygen level and a carbon dioxide level in the container.

Method of controlling atmosphere in a refrigerated container

A container refrigeration unit () is provided. The container refrigeration unit includes a container (), a curtain (), a seal element () and a sealing adapter (). The container includes sidewalls defining an open end () and a curtain track () proximate the open end. The curtain is sized to cover the open end. The sealing adapter is fittable to the curtain track. An entire periphery of the curtain and an entirety of the seal element are sequentially fittable to the sealing adapter.

Curtain track seal

A seal member () for a rotary regenerative scrubber () includes a hub (), a rim () circumferentially surrounding the hub, and a plurality of spokes () extending from the hub to the rim. The hub, rim, and spokes define an axially facing seal face () configured to form a sealing engagement with an opposed seal surface of a rotary regenerative scrubber, and a mounting face () axially opposed to the seal face configured for mounting to a rotor assembly () of a rotary regenerative scrubber. The seal face includes a labyrinth seal () defined therein.

Hard interface dynamic seals

A method and an analyzer for detecting impurities in refrigerant (e.g. methyl chloride (R40) or Chlorodifiuoromethane (R22)), wherein the refrigerant analyzer () includes a first sensing device (), preferably a non-dispersive infrared sensor (NDIR), in flow communication with a second sensing device (), preferably an electrochemical sensor. The first sensing device is configured to determine a first characteristic of a refrigerant (e.g. absorbance in the IR range), and the second sensing device is configured to detect a second characteristic of the refrigerant (e.g. concentration in ppmv). Preferably, the refrigerant analyzer is a part of a system for detecting impurities () and further preferably it comprises flow regulators (), a scrubber () and a processor (). The scrubber is preferably in flow communication with the first sensing device and it preferably comprises a packing material comprising alumina (Al2O3, aluminum oxide).
