An elongate sheet metal body for attachment to the web of a grid tee, the body having a substantially right angle cross-section formed by legs that in use are vertical and horizontal, respectively, the vertical leg having a width adapted to fit against the web between a reinforcing bulb and lower flange of the tee, the horizontal leg having a width at least that of the width of a portion of the flange portion extending from the web to a free edge of the flange, the horizontal leg having at a free edge a plurality of depending lugs spaced uniformly from one another with a common center to center distance, the lugs having a horizontal width sized to fit into U-shaped baffles such that said baffles carried on said lugs have the same center to center distance as the lugs.

An acoustical baffle system for suspension in an open plenum space comprising a plurality of parallel spaced carriers and a plurality of parallel spaced baffles suspended on and transverse to the carriers, the carriers having pairs of opposed, uniformly spaced grips on their lower faces, pairs of opposed grips being spaced along the carrier at a regular center-to-center distance greater than the spacing between a pair of opposed grips, the baffles having a relatively deep U-shaped cross-section with sides and a bottom between the sides, outwardly directed flanges at upper ends of the sides, the flanges being received in a respective pair of grips on each of a plurality of carriers.

Suspended baffle system

A suspended ceiling system having adjacent superposed suspended rectangular panels displaying a three-dimensional structure formed of elements existing primarily at two closely spaced horizontal planes, the system including a rectangular grid of bolt slot style grid members dividing the ceiling area into rectangular modules, lower panels and upper panels paired with the lower panels at the grid modules, the lower panels being formed of sheet metal having material removed to form individual open areas separated by residual sheet material and to provide a total open area of at least 10%, the upper panels having a variegated surface appearance when viewed through the open areas of the lower panels.
