Method, apparatus and systems are disclosed. In one representative embodiment, a method may be implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) for communication via a network access point (NAP). The method may include the WTRU receiving from the NAP a set of preambles and corresponding propagation delay related thresholds and determining propagation delay related information associated with a distance between the WTRU and the NAP or a location in a coverage of the NAP. The method may further include selecting a subset of preambles from the set of preambles based on the determined propagation delay related information, randomly selecting a preamble from the selected subset of preambles, and sending the randomly selected preamble to the NAP.

Methods, apparatus, systems and procedures for distance dependent random access channel (RACH) preamble selection in non-terrestrial networks (NTNs)

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor LBT subbands to determine when a COT is activated. A WTRU may vary monitoring based on whether the WTRU received a full or partial COT structure. A WTRU may interpret a scheduling grant based on the set of acquired LBT subbands. A WTRU may determine a channel access priority (CAP) associated with a COT. A WTRU may indicate a CAP used to acquire a COT. A WTRU may receive an indication of a CAP used by a network to start a COT. A WTRU may determine a logical channel restriction based on a CAP associated with the COT. A WTRU may determine whether a logical channel may be included in a transmission during a COT based on a logical channel restriction. A transmission may be during a COT via a subband(s).

Shared channel occupancy time operation

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for uplink (UL) transmissions in wireless systems. The systems, methods and instrumentalities may include a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) with a receiver configured to receive one or more uplink (UL) grants that may include allocations associated with a regular UL (RUL) carrier and a supplementary UL (SUL) carrier. The RUL and SUL carriers may be associated with a common downlink (DL) carrier of a serving cell. The WTRU may include a processor configured to select data from one or more logical channels for transmission in accordance with the allocations. The WTRU may include a transmitter configured to transmit data from one logical channel on the RUL carrier and to transmit data from another logical channel on the SUL carrier in accordance with the allocations.

Supplementary uplink transmissions in wireless systems

Methods and apparatuses are described herein for selective one-shot hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback by priority level. For example, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may determine a priority associated with each transport block (TB). The each TB may correspond to respective HARQ processes associated with downlink transmissions from a base station (BS). The WTRU may receive, from the BS, a request for the one-shot HARQ feedback with an indication of a priority selected for the one-shot HARQ feedback. The WTRU may generate a HARQ codebook for transmission of the one-shot feedback. The HARQ codebook may comprise one or more information bits corresponding to one or more TBs determined based on the indicated priority. The WTRU may determine, based on a number of the one or more information bits, a transmission power and transmit, at the transmission power, the one-shot feedback comprising the generated HARQ codebook.

Reliable HARQ-ACK transmission in unlicensed spectrum

Methods, apparatus, systems, architectures and interfaces for performing a configured grant (CG) uplink (UL) transmission are provided. The method includes receiving configuration information associated with a plurality of CG configurations for CG UL transmission; determining to transmit the CG UL transmission according to any of: (1) a set of available channel bandwidths, (2) a number of code block groups (CBGs), and (3) transmission parameters associated with the CG UL transmission; selecting a first CG configuration according to any of: (1) the set of available channel bandwidths, (2) the number of code block groups (CBGs), and (3) the transmission parameters associated with the CG UL transmission; and transmitting any number of CBGs as the CG UL transmission using resources associated with the selected first configuration, wherein the resources of the selected first CG configuration are entirely within the set of available channel bandwidths.

Methods and apparatus for configured grant transmission in unlicensed spectrum

A method performed by a WTRU may comprise receiving a plurality of LBT configurations associated with one or more of a beam, a BWP, a LCH, a set of LBT parameters, a transmission type or an LBT subband. The method may further comprise receiving an indication to transmit using a first LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations. An attempt to acquire a channel may then be made using the first LBT configuration. The indication to transmit may additionally indicate a second LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations. Data may be transmitted on the channel when the attempt to acquire the channel is successful. An attempt to acquire the channel using the second LBT configuration of the plurality of LBT configurations may be made when the attempt to acquire the channel using the first LBT configuration fails.

Methods for channel access management

A WTRU is configured to receive information to transmit uplink data indicating a first number of nominal repetitions and a first number of symbols for transmission in each of the first number of nominal repetitions. The WTRU is configured to determine a set of symbols associated with a first nominal repetition of the first number of nominal repetitions and is configured to transmit, based on the set of symbols associated with the first nominal repetition, a second number of actual repetitions in symbols associated with the first nominal repetition. The second number of actual repetitions and the symbols used to transmit the second number of actual repetitions are based on an occurrence of an event during the set of symbols associated with the first nominal repetition. The second number of actual repetitions is determined based on whether the event is a COT and the COT is initiated by the WTRU.

Methods and apparatus for PUSCH repetition

A system and methods for beam failure recovery and management for multi-carrier communications with beamforming are disclosed herein. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor for and detect a beam failure of a beam associated with a secondary cell (Scell). The WTRU may select an Scell candidate beam. The WTRU may transmit using a selected uplink (UL) resource in a primary cell (SpCell) a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) including an indication of Scell beam failure and identifying the selected candidate beam. The WTRU may receive an Scell beam failure indication response on the SpCell indicating an SCell index and a downlink (DL) quasi co-location (QCL) reference associated with the Scell. The WTRU may verify that the DL QCL reference matches with the candidate beam. The WTRU may perform random access on the SCell using the selected QCL reference and the selected candidate beam.

Methods and systems for beam recovery and management

Power efficient measurements may be implemented for high frequency operations. A WTRU may determine measurement occasions, DRX cycle/configuration transitions, DRX pause/resume, DRX timer operation, and/or BFR based on scheduling activity, beam configuration, BFI detection, BFD, beam loss, etc. A WTRU may be configured with multiple DRX cycles and measurement opportunities (e.g., with different periodicities). The WTRU may perform (e.g., RS) measurement(s) with determined/configured timing (e.g., DRX on-durations) in a first DRX cycle based on condition(s). The WTRU may switch to a second DRX cycle and perform RS measurement(s) with determined/configured timing based on condition(s) (e.g., counted number of BFIs detected in first DRX cycle). The WTRU may switch from the second (e.g., short) DRX cycle to the first (e.g., long) DRX cycle or to non-DRX operation (e.g., DRX suspension or reset DRX inactivity timer) based on condition(s) (e.g., number of BFIs in first and/or second DRX cycle(s)).

Power efficient measurements at higher frequencies

Methods and apparatus for wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) power control are described. A method includes receiving a time domain resource allocation (TDRA) list configuration including entries, each including a resource allocation that includes a slot offset value. L1 signaling is received indicating a minimum slot offset value. Downlink control information (DCI) is decoded on a physical downlink control channel in a slot. An index is obtained from the decoded DCI, identifying an entry in the TDRA list. A particular slot offset value identified by the index is retrieved from the TDRA list and compared with the minimum slot offset value. If the particular slot offset value is less than the minimum slot offset value, the entry is invalid. If the particular slot offset value is greater than or equal to the minimum slot offset value, a physical downlink shared channel is received.

Methods and apparatus for wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) power control

Method, apparatus, and systems are disclosed. In one representative embodiment, a method may be implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) using a channel. The method may include receiving, by the WTRU in a downlink message, a channel transmission trigger (CTT) and selecting, by the WTRU, a type of a Listen Before Talk (LBT) configuration to be performed based on the received CTT. The method may further include determining, by the WTRU in accordance with the type of LBT configuration selected, whether the channel is available for transmission and transmitting data or control information on the channel, on condition that the channel is available for transmission.

Methods, apparatus and systems for system access in unlicensed spectrum

Methods and apparatuses are described herein for monitoring radio links between wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) and determining of radio link failure, and may be used, among others, for New Radio (NR) vehicular communication (V2X); a mode whereby WTRUs can communicate with each other directly. A radio link between a WTRU and another WTRU may be monitored independently per ongoing unicast and/or multicast link, and radio link failure (RLF) may be determined as a function of the monitoring.

Method for sidelink radio link monitoring and radio link failure

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive/transmit data by employing a discontinuous reception cycle, which may include an awake state and a sleep state. For example, while in an awake state, a WTRU may monitor a PDCCH for a subset of time instances. During the remaining time instances, the WTRU may enter a sleep state, in which the WTRU may switch its receiving circuitry off (e.g., to reduce power consumption). A WTRU may receive (e.g., may expect to receive) one or more transmissions, during an awake state, before entering a sleep state. The durations of an awake state and/or the durations of subsequent sleep states may be determined based on whether the WTRU receives a transmission during the awake state and/or what the transmission was for. The WTRU may modify the value of a sleep state timer based on previous sleep state and/or awake state timer values.

Wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) reachability

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a first higher layer configuration for a cancellation indication (CI). Further, the first higher layer configuration may include a set of reference frequency resources. Also, the WTRU may receive a grant indicating a frequency allocation and a time allocation for a scheduled transmission. Further, on a condition that the CI is received, the WTRU may interrupt the scheduled transmission. Additionally, the CI may indicate a subset of frequency resources of the set of reference frequency resources for each of a set of time symbols. Also, the WTRU may cancel the scheduled transmission on a condition that the subset of frequency resources of a set of time symbols overlaps with the frequency allocation and the time allocation for the scheduled transmission. In a further example, the first higher layer configuration may include an applicable maximum priority and the grant may include a priority index.
