Computer-implemented methods for providing real-time customer, patient or accountability, security, consumer and employee metrics include: providing at least one strategic goal; providing at least one metric associated with the at least one strategic goal; providing at least one communication channel between a customer and a company; providing at least one communication code; utilizing the at least one communication code to access the at least one communication channel; providing a survey tool to the customer using the at least one communication channel; capturing data from the survey tool in a database; converting the captured data to the at least one metric; and providing the at least one metric on a dashboard application. An executable software application that implements the computer-implemented method disclosed is also contemplated.

A system and method for determining the geographic location of a mobile station in a mobile telephone system is disclosed. The system broadcasts a series of forward link triangulation signals from an array of base transceiver stations, so that a mobile station may determine the differential times of arrival, and thereby the mobile station's location.

System and method for mobile location detection in synchronous wireless systems

An enhanced mechanism for the reverse link power control in a wireless communication system, especially for high speed data applications and fixed wireless communication applications, dynamically adjusts the power control step size of the reverse link power control. The power control step size is dynamically adjusted based on various factors including types of service, number of reverse supplemental code channels, total received power at the base station, estimated diversity gain and required mobility, among others. The system which includes stationary infrastructure, can query a subscriber unit's capability in the support of a pre-defined set of power control step sizes before assigning it to the subscriber unit. Furthermore, the subscriber unit may decide its optimized power control step size based on certain feedbacks from the system. In a specific embodiment, enhancement to the ANSI EIA/TIA-95 system is provided such that it supports a variable subscriber unit power control step size and associated signaling in accord with this invention.
