In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, an electronic device is described. An example electronic device includes a processor, a port to receive a connector of a peripheral device, and a power supply. An example power supply is to supply power to the processor and the peripheral device when connected to the electronic device. The example electronic device also includes an electronic device controller. The electronic device controller is to alter an amount of power from a first value to a second value to supply to the peripheral device based on an amount of power available from the power supply and a lower threshold power level that enables data communication from the peripheral device. The example electronic device also includes a power delivery controller. The power delivery controller is to provide the amount of power having the second value to the peripheral device based on an output from the electronic device controller.

Peripheral device power

In some examples, an electronic device comprises a processor and a power circuit coupled to the processor. The power circuit is to provide power to the processor and to measure a current drawn from the power circuit by the processor. The electronic device also comprises a voltage regulator controller coupled to the processor and the power circuit. The voltage regulator controller is to receive a current usage prediction from the processor, receive the measurement from the power circuit, compare the current usage prediction and the measurement, and, based on the comparison, drive the power circuit in accordance with the measurement instead of the current usage prediction.

In some examples, an electronic device includes a display panel, voltage circuitry to provide a voltage output to the display panel, and a controller. In some examples, the controller sets the voltage output of the voltage circuitry to a first voltage. In some examples, the controller obtains a first display panel power measurement at the voltage output. In some examples, the controller compares the first display panel power measurement with a second display panel power measurement. In some examples, the controller changes the voltage output to a second voltage based on the comparison.

Voltage adjustments for display panels

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, an electronic device is described. An example electronic device a power meter to capture real-time power draw of the electronic device from a power supply. The example electronic device also includes a controller. An example controller determines (1) an average power draw over a first interval, (2) an average power draw over a second interval, and (3) an overall throttle amount for the electronic device based on the average power draw over the first interval and the average power draw over the second interval. The example electronic device also includes a throttling device to reduce the power draw of the electronic device from the power supply based on the overall throttle amount for the electronic device.

Example implementations relate to motion based power states. For instance, in an example an electronic device includes input components, a motion detector separate from the input components, the motion detector to detect over a period of time an amount of motion of an object proximate to the electronic device, and a controller to compare the detected amount of motion of the object to a motion threshold, and alter a power state of an input component of the input components based on the comparison.

An electronic device includes a transmit buffer, a receive buffer, a communication port, and a controller. The controller is to: communicate with a target device via a data link established via the communication port; determine a throughput ratio between the transmit buffer and the receive buffer; in response to a determination that the throughput ratio is above a threshold, transmit a request to the target device to change an aspect of the data link, where the request includes a payload size indicating an amount of data to be transmitted from the electronic device to the target device; and in response to receiving a grant message associated with the request, increase an amount of transmit lanes within the data link from the electronic device to the target device.

An example power adaptor includes a converter and a circuit to detect an overcurrent event at the converter and to pause power output of the converter when the overcurrent event is detected. The circuit is further to count a number of overcurrent events at the converter within a time period. The circuit is further to compare the number of overcurrent events to a threshold number and to switch off the power output of the converter when the number of overcurrent events passes the threshold number.

Example implementations relate to touch input detection. In some examples, a computing device may include a touch sensitive interface, a processing resource, and instructions executable by the processor. The instructions may be executable by the processor to cause the processor to detect a period of inactivity of the touch-sensitive interface; activate a one-dimensional scan for a touch input on the touch-sensitive interface in response to detecting the period of inactivity; and activate a two-dimensional scan for a touch input on the touch sensitive interface in response to detecting the period of inactivity.

An input/output ('I/O') port control system is provided. The system can include an I/O controller () comprising a power input () and an operably connected I/O interface (). A power supply () and switch () can be operably connected to the power input. A detector () can be operably connected to the I/O interface and to the switch. The detector can be adapted to close the switch when an electrical circuit is completed through the I/O interface.

I/O control systems and methods

Interface systems and methods are provided. An interface system can include a first isolator () and a second isolator () coupled to a modular interface (). The interface can include a plurality of conductors (). The first isolator can be coupled to a first signal format compliant first input/output (I/O) device (). The second isolator can be coupled to a second signal format compliant second I/O device (). The first isolator can pass a first signal format compliant signal to, and suppress the reflection of at least a portion of a second signal format compliant signal from, the first I/O device. The second isolator can at least partially block a first signal format compliant signal from, and to pass a second signal format compliant signal to, the second I/O device.

Modular interface systems and methods

A system for monitoring a connection to an active pin of an integrated circuit (IC) die, includes an input/output (I/O) cell of an IC die, where the I/O cell is bonded to a bonding pad on a ball grid array (BGA) substrate. The system includes a test point on a printed circuit board (PCB) coupled to the bonding pad which forms an electrical/conductive pathway between the test point and the I/O cell. The system includes a clock waveform injected through a resistor into the test point.
