This application provides a gas-liquid separator, including a housing assembly and a plurality of first ribs. The housing assembly has an inner side wall defining a housing accommodation cavity. The housing assembly includes an inlet, a gas outlet, and a liquid outlet, the inlet. The gas outlet, and the liquid outlet are communicated with the housing accommodation cavity. The inlet is provided on the inner side wall of the housing accommodation cavity, the gas outlet is provided above the inlet, and the liquid outlet is provided below the inlet. The plurality of first ribs are arranged on the inner side wall of the housing assembly. Each of the plurality of first ribs is arranged at an angle with respect to a height direction of the housing assembly, and each of the plurality of first ribs includes a first rib windward end and a first rib leeward end. In a flow direction of a fluid entering the housing accommodation cavity from the inlet, the first rib windward end is located upstream of the first rib leeward end. In the height direction of the housing assembly, the first rib windward end is higher than the first rib leeward end. The gas-liquid separator has a compact structure, a small overall volume, and high separation efficiency.

Gas-liquid separator

A heat exchanger for a heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) system includes a shell having an inlet configured to receive refrigerant and an outlet configured to output the refrigerant. The heat exchanger also includes a refrigerant distributor disposed within the shell, and multiple evaporating tubes disposed within the shell and positioned below the refrigerant distributor. The refrigerant distributor includes a perforated plate having multiple holes, each hole extends from a top surface of the perforated plate to a bottom surface of the perforated plate, and a center point of each hole is substantially aligned with a centerline of a respective evaporating tube.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a vapor compression system that includes a refrigerant loop, a compressor disposed along the refrigerant loop and configured to circulate refrigerant through the refrigerant loop, a condenser disposed downstream of the compressor along the refrigerant loop and configured to condense vapor refrigerant to liquid refrigerant, a subcooler coupled to the condenser, where the subcooler is external of a shell of the condenser, and where the subcooler is configured to receive the liquid refrigerant from the condenser and to cool the liquid refrigerant to subcooled refrigerant, and an evaporator disposed downstream of the subcooler along the refrigerant loop and configured to evaporate the subcooled refrigerant to the vapor refrigerant.

A falling-film evaporator includes an evaporator cylinder, a mist eliminator disposed in the evaporator cylinder, a dispenser disposed in the evaporator cylinder, a liquid baffle disposed in the evaporator cylinder, a first chamber formed at least partially by the mist eliminator and the liquid baffle on a first side of the evaporator cylinder below the mist eliminator, a gas returning chamber formed at least partially by the mist eliminator and the liquid baffle on a second side of the evaporator cylinder above the mist eliminator, a gas-liquid separation chamber formed at least partially by the dispenser at an upper portion of the first chamber, and an evaporation chamber formed at least partially by the dispenser at a lower portion of the first chamber, and where the gas returning chamber is in fluid communication with the evaporation chamber.
