A centrifugal fan includes a casing and an impeller received in the casing. The casing defines an air outlet at one side thereof. An air channel is defined in the casing between a sidewall of the casing and outermost free ends of blades of the impeller. The air channel has an upstream end and a downstream end along a rotation direction of the impeller. A plurality of air guide plates is formed in the casing and disposed at a junction between the downstream end of the air channel and an area of the air outlet directly communicating with the downstream end of the air channel. The air guide plates are structured and arranged in a streamlined manner and pattern with respect to air flowing from the downstream end of the air channel towards the air outlet.

Heat dissipation device and centrifugal fan thereof

An exemplary centrifugal fan includes a casing defining an air outlet, and an impeller in the casing. An air channel is defined in the casing between a sidewall of the casing and outermost free ends of the impeller. The sidewall includes a first curved section adjoining a second curved section. The first curved section is located at a more upstream portion of the sidewall than the second curved section along a rotation direction of the impeller. The first curved section extends along a part of an Archimedes spiral or a part of a logarithmic spiral. The second curved section is located farther away from the impeller than an imaginary extension line of the first curved section along the Archimedes spiral or the logarithmic spiral. An air guide plate is formed in the casing and extends from the air outlet to an inner region of the air channel.

Centrifugal fan

A heat dissipation fan includes a base with a plurality of holes defined therein, a stator mounted on the base and being placed around the holes of the base, and an impeller rotatably attached to the base. The impeller includes a hub and a plurality of blades, the hub includes a top wall with a plurality of holes defined therein and an annular wall depending from the top wall. The blades are arranged around the annular wall of the hub. An axial air passage is defined in the stator. The holes of the base communicate with the holes of the top wall via the air passage.

Heat dissipation fan

A securing device includes a securing member defining a securing hole therein, and a fastener extending through the securing hole. The fastener includes a spring, and a bolt having a main portion, a bottom fixing portion, and a top head portion. The securing hole includes a large portion, a small portion, and a concave around the small portion. A diameter of the small portion is greater than the main portion and smaller than the fixing portion. A diameter of the large portion is greater than the fixing portion and smaller than the spring. The main portion extends through the small portion with the fixing portion tightly abutting the securing member. The spring is mounted around the main portion and received in the concave. The spring is compressed between the head portion and a step of the securing member in the concave.

Heat dissipation device with base having fasteners

A heat sink includes two heat spreaders spaced from each other and a heat dissipation fin disposed and connected between the two heat spreaders. The heat dissipation fin includes a plurality of hollow tubular heat dissipation units arranged linearly from one of the heat spreaders to the other one of the heat spreaders. The heat dissipation units are connected together with their axes along length directions thereof being parallel to each other. Each of the heat dissipation units can resiliently deform to change a distance between the two heat spreaders. The present disclosure also discloses an electronic device incorporating such a heat sink.

Fin-type heat sink and electronic device using same

A light emitting diode (LED) lamp includes a lampshade, a light guide pole and a plurality of LEDs. The light guide pole is of light permeable material and received in the lampshade. A plurality of irregular elements is formed on an outer surface of the light guide pole. A distribution density of the irregular elements decreases gradually from two ends of the light guide pole towards a middle of the light guide pole. The LEDs are mounted at the two ends of the light guide pole. Light emitted by the light emitting diodes falls incident into the light guide pole and exits the light guide pole from the outer surface thereof.

Light emitting diode lamp

An LED () includes a chip with a light-emitting surface () and an encapsulation on the chip. The encapsulation has a light output surface () facing the light-emitting surface of the chip and has a convex surface () surrounding a concave surface (). A portion of light () emitted by the light-emitting surface is refracted divergently via the concave surface to a predetermined area above and around the concave surface, and another portion of light () emitted by the light-emitting surface is refracted convergently via the convex surface to the predetermined area.

A light emitting diode device includes a substrate, a plurality of light emitting diode chips mounted on the substrate and arranged in a plurality of lines and a frame located on the substrate. The frame includes a plurality of first plates each extending along a first direction of the substrate, a plurality of second plates each extending along a second direction of the substrate and a plurality of reflecting plates. The first plates and the second plates cooperatively form a plurality of receiving rooms for receiving the light emitting diode chips therein. Each reflecting plate is located above a corresponding line of light emitting diode chips and inclined with respect to the substrate.

A securing device () is used for securing a heat sink () to a printed circuit board () with a heat-generating electronic component () mounted thereon. The securing device includes a V-shaped elongated main body (), a first locking leg (), a second locking leg () and a resilient member (). The first locking leg and second locking leg are connected to two opposite ends of the main body respectively for engaging with a retention frame () on the printed circuit board. The resilient member includes a planar-shaped supporting plate () engaging with a bottom portion of the main body and at least one resilient foot () extending downwardly from the supporting plate. The resilient foot deforms to exert a resilient force on the heat sink when the heat sink is assembled to the electronic component by the securing device.

Securing device for assembling heat dissipation module onto electronic component

A heat sink clip () includes an elongated resilient main body () with two spaced barbs () at a first end thereof, a first locking member () coupled with a second end of the main body and a moveable second locking member () movably coupled with the first end of the main body. The barbs each vertically extend and include a neck () connecting with the main body and a locking end () at a free end thereof. The moveable second locking member includes an operating portion () and a locking leg () defining two connecting slots () therein. Each of the connecting slots includes a longitudinally narrow portion () and a longitudinally wide portion () beside the narrow portion. The barbs enter the connecting slots through the wide portions and the necks are received in the narrow portions.

Heat sink clip

A light emitting diode (LED) lamp () includes a heat sink (), an LED module () attached to a bottom side of the heat sink (), and an air exhausting duct (). The air exhausting duct includes a cover () and a hollow tube () extending upwardly from the cover. The cover is mounted on a top side of the heat sink with an air collecting chamber () defined between the heat sink and the cover. The air collecting chamber communicates with an air passage () defined in the tube.

A heat sink clip for securing a heat sink to a heat generating electronic component includes a spring member including an elongated main body. A connecting portion is formed at one end of the main body and a first locking leg extends from the other end thereof. A second locking leg is coupled to the connecting portion of the spring member. An actuating member connects pivotally with the second locking leg. An assisting member, which is located between the actuating member and the connecting portion, includes a wedged main body. When the actuating member is rotated from a first orientation to a second orientation, the assisting member horizontally moves a distance thereby moving the actuating member to a raised level. The actuating member has teeth engaging with teeth formed on an inclined face of the wedged main body.

A heat dissipating apparatus () for dissipating heat from a heat-generating electronic component includes a heat sink (), a resilient clipping member (), and an operating member (). The heat sink contacts with the heat-generating electronic component, and includes a fin assembly () which defines a channel () therein. The resilient clipping member is received in the channel of the heat sink for mounting the heat sink on the heat-generating electronic component. The operating member is pivotally mounted to the clipping member. At least one portion of the operating member is mounted between the fin assembly and the clipping member. The at least one portion can move from an unlock position to a lock position to support the clipping member away from the heat-generating electronic component.

Heat dissipating apparatus

A locking device () for securing a heat sink () to a heat generating component () includes a pair of operating members () and a pair of locking members (). Each operating member includes a pivot shaft () defining an axis and an operation handle () extending from the pivot shaft along a first direction. The pivot shaft has an offset section () offsetting from the axis thereof in a second direction. The first direction and the second direction form an angle therebetween. Each locking member is attached to the offset section of one of the operating members. The operation handle of each operating member is capable of rotating about the axis of the pivot shaft from an unlocked position to a locked position and accordingly the offset section of the pivot shaft drives the locking member to move upwardly.

Locking device for heat sink

A heat sink clip and an assembly incorporating such clip are provide. The heat sink clip comprises: a body, an actuating member and a movable fastener. The body has a securing portion formed at one end thereof. The actuating member has a hinge portion thereof. The movable fastener is secured to the hinge portion of the actuating member. The actuating member is pivotably mounted to the securing portion of the body in a direction substantially perpendicular to the body, and the actuating member is turnable relative to the body between a locked position and an unlocked position.
