A highly extensible nonwoven web is provided. The highly extensible nonwoven web may include continuous multi-component fibers. The continuous multi-component fibers may include polypropylene, wherein the polypropylene has a crystallinity of less than about 41%. The polypropylene may have a melting temperature of less than about 161° C. The highly extensible nonwoven web may define a plurality of apertures. The apertures may be patterned. The highly extensible nonwoven web may form a portion of an absorbent article.

A tampon product including an applicator with a hollow barrel portion and an ejection plunger within the barrel portion, is disclosed. One or both of the barrel portion and the ejection plunger may have a cylindrical form and be formed of a paper, and have a coating applied to the paper, wherein the coating is not predominately constituted by a material derived from petroleum. The coated paper barrel portion and/or ejection plunger may be manufactured to as to exhibit a static Relative Sliding Resistance Coefficient (CSR) no greater than 0.250 and/or a kinetic CSR no greater than 0.210, for purposes of smooth manufacturing. In combination or alternatively, the coated paper barrel portion and/or ejection plunger may be manufactured to as to exhibit a static Gripping Slip Resistance Coefficient (CGSR) no less than 0.190 and/or a kinetic CGSR no less than 0.170, for purposes of consumer satisfaction.

An absorbent article includes a chassis having i) a topsheet, ii) a backsheet comprising a film layer and an outer cover layer, and iii) an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a fastening system, the fastening system having a male fastener and a female fastening material, wherein the female fastening material is comprised of a portion of the outer cover layer that is located in a landing zone area; wherein the film layer and the outer cover layer are joined together through a backsheet adhesive applied in a first pattern; and in the landing zone area, the film layer and the outer cover layer are joined together through an additional LZA adhesive applied in a second pattern.

Absorbent article with fastening system

A fastening system comprising a nonwoven web material operable to fastenably engage a fastening component is disclosed. The nonwoven web material may comprising multicomponent fibers having a polyolefin component and a polyamide component, and a machine direction bias. The nonwoven web material may bear an impressed pattern of thermal bonds having an average frequency along any line that can be identified in the machine direction, of at least 0.5 bonds per cm.

Wearable article with outwardmost layer of multicomponent fiber nonwoven providing enhanced mechanical features

A wearable article having an outer backsheet is disclosed. The outer backsheet may be formed of at least two layers of material, including an outward-facing layer formed at least in part of multicomponent fibers. The multicomponent fibers may have a polyolefin fiber component and a non-polyolefin fiber component.
