An electrical connector includes an insulative housing having opposite mating port and mounting port. Plural pairs of contacts are retained in the housing. Each pair of contacts has a first contact blade and a second contact blade. Each of the first contact blade and the second contact blade includes a main body, a contacting section extending into the mating port, and a mounting leg of the main body disposed in the mounting port. Each of the main body of the first contact blade and the main body of the second contact blade forms an embossment abutting against each other so as to electrically unify both the first contact blade and the second contact blade without blocking the space therebetween for enhancing heat dissipation thereof.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a top face, a pair of side walls, a rear face and a first receiving cavity extending upwardly and through the top face; a contact module including a first tongue portion extending into the first receiving cavity, and a number of first contacts insert molded with the first tongue portion, the first contacts being disposed on a mounting surface of the first tongue portion and exposed to the first receiving cavity, the contact module being attached to the insulative housing; a second receiving cavity into which a second tongue portion extends, the first receiving cavity being essentially narrower than the second receiving cavity communicating with the first receiving cavity, the first and the second tongue portions being parallel to each other; a number of second contacts disposed on opposite first and second surfaces of the second tongue portion, the second contacts being elastic and protruding into the second receiving cavity.

A connector includes: an insulative housing having a mating port formed between a pair of front wall and rear wall, and a pair of side walls thereof, the mating port defining a first direction for mating/un-mating a corresponding plug, and a second direction extending transversely and perpendicular to said first direction, and a third direction extending vertically and perpendicular to both said first and second directions; a shutter mechanism pivotally mounted to the insulative housing and having a pair of axles extending from two sides thereof in the second direction; wherein the side wall defines a first slot at an inner side thereof and a second slot at an outer side thereof, the second slot extending in the first direction, the first slot extending in a direction different from the second slot and overlapping with the second slot in the second direction to form an opening to receive the axles.
