The present invention is a method and system for the extraction of keyphrases from natural text. For the purpose of this document, keyphrases are text segments that represent the main topic of a text. The method of the present invention may facilitate keyphrase extraction from any length of text. The text may be of several varieties, such as, for example a sentence, paragraph, document or collection of documents. Phrase separator methods may be applied to the text to extract phrases from the text. From these phrases the present invention may identify the one or more phrases that are integral to the meaning of the text and these may be identified as the keyphrases of the text. The text may be indexed using the keyphrases so that a search based upon any of the keyphrases will cause search engines and/or text retrieval means to retrieve the text.

Methods and systems for extracting keyphrases from natural text for search engine indexing

The present invention may provide a system, method and computer program for searching a sub-domain that involves linking to other sub-domains. In particular, the present invention may provide a sub-domain search that ranks and/or weighs search results based on relevance, such relevance being determined by a calculation operating on a broader range of domain and/or sub-domains than a single sub-domain. The present invention may weight and score a search of web pages in a sub-domain based on the content of web pages in other sub-domains.

System, method and computer program for searching within a sub-domain by linking to other sub-domains

This invention describes an occupant size and weight detection device consisting of a combination of force/load sensors (), a head position sensor (), a multidirectional acceleration sensor (), and a seat position sensor () used to determine the weight of an occupant based on weight distribution, body angle and foot position. The goal of the invention is to determine the weight of an occupant who is sitting in the front seat of a vehicle that is subjected to the dynamic forces resulting from the vehicle moving. This technology can be used in applications such as automotive occupant weight and position sensing for use with safety devices such as airbags.

Vehicle occupant weight estimation apparatus

An inflator assembly for an airbag includes a container with a plurality of exhaust ports positioned about a perimeter. A rupturable, non-combustible material covers the perimeter of the container to cover the exhaust ports. A plurality of perforated and rupturable walls define a plurality of chambers concentrically disposed within the container. Within each of the plurality of chambers is a detonator to trigger a gas-producing chemical to inflate an airbag cushion. The detonators disposed in each of the individual chambers can be detonated separately from other detonators in other chambers.

Multi-deployment airbag inflator

An intelligent air bag system includes a controller communicating with a sensor suite and the air bag. The controller preferably includes a fuzzy inference engine. The sensor suite includes a plurality of sensors such as weight sensors, acceleration sensors, seat belt activation sensors, and the like. The fuzzy inference engine determines deployment by using a rule base including a multiple of parameters. The decision to deploy the air bag and the strength of the air bag deployment is determined by controller using fuzzy logic to more particularly tailor deployment to present conditions.

Intelligent air bag system

An inflator for an airbag includes a container defining and outer surface and an inner compartment. A plurality of igniters are disposed within the inner compartment and are operably associated with a gas-generating unit. Each gas-generating unit is formed by a pair of matched stamped housings. Bushing separate and secure the gas-generating units in place along the outer surface of the container. Each gas-generating unit defines an annular chamber filled with gas generating material. Each of the igniters within the container are independently ignitable and are mechanically isolated from each other to prevent actuation of one igniter in response to the actuation of an adjacent igniter. The igniters are independently actuated to control the magnitude of inflation force of the airbag.
