The embosser includes two load-bearing structures that are mutually movable to approach and move away from each other. The first load-bearing structure supports a plurality of first embossing rollers that can be selectively brought to an operating position, in which they cooperate with a first pressure roller. The second load-bearing structure supports one or more second embossing rollers cooperating with a second pressure roller. The two support structures can be moved away from each other to allow the selection movement of the first embossing rollers.

In order to thread a web material in a converting machine a system is provided, with a first continuous flexible member and a second flexible member. An anchoring element, to which there can be fixed the web material leading edge, may be transferred from one to the other of the two flexible members so as to facilitate the threading operations.

Perforating device for perforating a web material including a first blade-holder adapted to rotate around a respective first rotation axis and on which at least a first perforating blade is mounted; and a support beam, on which a plurality of counter-blades are mounted; the support beam being angularly adjustable around a selection rotation axis thereof in a plurality of angular working positions, in each angular working position one of the counter-blades being in an operative position. A movable abutment is provided adapted to co-act with the support beam. A first actuating device is provided for moving the movable abutment between an active position, where the movable abutment co-acts with the support beam, and an idle position, where the movable abutment is spaced from the support beam. A second actuating device is provided for rotating the support beam in order to arrange it selectively in one of the angular working positions.

The system includes a fence inside which machines are arranged that are potentially dangerous for the operators, forming part of a processing plant for processing web material and producing rolls. A passage counting the number of operators entering the fence and exiting therefrom is so controlled as to be accessible only when the machines are not working and to allow a partial operation of the machines inside the fence under particular safety conditions.

The interchangeable sleeve comprises: a substantially cylindrical outer surface (A); a layer of hardened resin (R); a substantially conical inner surface for connection to a conical central core of the roller. The inner surface is formed at least partially of at least one inner component () having greater rigidity than said hardened resin. The inner component is constrained to the sleeve by means of said hardened resin.

The rotating cylinder comprises: an elongated inner core () which is substantially rigid and an interchangeable sleeve () which is fitted onto the core; the sleeve is axially and angularly constrained to said core and is provided on its external surface with a raised pattern. The internal surface of the interchangeable sleeve and the external surface of the inner core are conical surfaces which are mutually complementary; axial and angular locking of the interchangeable sleeve and the inner core is achieved by the friction between the conical surfaces which are forced axially one onto the other.

The rotating cylinder for processing a web material comprises an essentially rigid cylindrical core (), on which is fitted an interchangeable sleeve () of elastically expandable material whose rigidity is less than that of the material of the core; the sleeve is axially and angularly fixable to the core and is provided on its outer surface with a relief pattern. For each end of the 3 cylinder, there is provided at least one corresponding mechanical locking member which can be fixed to the corresponding end of the core of the cylinder and which interacts with the corresponding end of the interchangeable sleeve to lock the interchangeable sleeve angularly with respect to the core of the cylinder.
