A microwave heating device includes radiating portions adapted to radiate microwaves to the heating chamber and is operated according to operational configurations that differ in frequency or in phase shift(s) between the radiated microwaves. A learning procedure is executed by sequentially operating the radiating portions in several operational configurations. Energy efficiency data are calculated for those operational configurations. An operating frequency is selected based on energy efficiency data. An operational configuration with a maximum energy efficiency at the selected operating frequency is taken as a reference. A heating procedure is executed by sequentially operating the radiating portions in operational configurations having the selected operating frequency and respective phase shift(s) chosen around the respective phase shift(s) of the reference operational configuration. The phase shift(s) of each chosen operational configuration may have a phase shift distance from the respective phase shift(s) of the reference operational configuration, such that, in the space of the phase shifts, the reference operational configuration is surrounded by the chosen operational configurations.

Microwave heating device and method for operating a microwave heating device

An induction hob includes a main body with an upper main surface on which in use at least one pan to be heated can be placed, and a lower main surface. The induction hob also includes at least one inductor coupled to the main body at the lower main surface, and a flexible body, fixed to the lower main surface. The flexible body has alternating first, electrically insulating layers and second layers each including at least one electrically conductive track. The inductor has a plurality of such electrically conductive tracks, which are positioned at different second layers and are electrically connected to each other in series and/or parallel to form a plurality of loops.

An apparatus for defrosting or cooking foods, the apparatus including both radio frequency dielectric heating means and an induction heating means. The radio frequency dielectric heating means includes at least two electrodes positioned at a treatment zone, and a device for applying, between the electrodes, a difference in electric potential which is variable with a frequency between 1 MHz and 300 MHz. The induction heating means is electromagnetically coupled to at least one of the electrodes which is at least partly made of ferromagnetic material, such that the electrode transmits heat to the food.

A device for the induction heating of a billet of metal of high electrical conductivity has: a tubular body supporting a plurality of permanent magnets arranged inside the tubular body, angularly spaced apart from each other and arranged so as to be alternated with opposite polarities. The device also has a support for the billet that is arranged inside the tubular body and faces the magnets. The device also has a motor adapted to rotate the tubular body with respect to the billet in order to induce currents in the billet that circulate within the metal material, obtaining the heating of the billet by the Joule effect. An integral cooling system for the permanent magnets is provided, this being carried by the tubular body and suitable for feeding cooling air flows between adjacent permanent magnets.

A microwave heating device and a method for operating a microwave heating device to heat a product inside a heating chamber includes at least two radiating portions that are adapted to radiate microwaves to the heating chamber and can be operated according to a plurality of operational configurations that differ in frequency or phase shift(s) between the radiated microwaves. A learning procedure can be executed by sequentially operating the radiating portions in several operational configurations for which energy efficiency data are calculated. An operating frequency can be selected via an algorithm that optimizes a mathematical function based on energy efficiency data. An electric oven includes a box casing presenting side walls, a rear wall, an upper wall and a lower wall, an opening and a closure door for this latter, the walls bounding an oven cavity heated by heating structure functionally associated with at least one of the walls. The heating structure is arranged to heat the cavity by induction and includes a generator arranged to generate an electromagnetic field, an electrically insulating material disposed between the generator and the oven wall at which the heating structure is positioned, and magnetically insulating structure is disposed on the outside of the oven with reference to the wall, the generator, the electrically insulating structure and the magnetically insulating structure defining a single, layered structure fitted to the oven wall.

A method for detecting the pan size and/or position in induction cooking hobs comprises providing at least a sensing circuit associated to a magnetic field concentrator, particularly a ferrite bar, and assessing an electrical parameter thereof correlated to the variation of the magnetic flux.

Preform heating device able to perform a precise and strongly localised heating of the preforms before the blow moulding phase of the plastic bottle or container production process. This device has an innovative construction configuration, thus allowing high efficiency thanks to the significant reduction in the energy required to reach the project temperatures in the heating element in a very rapid way. The inductor does not heat the preform directly, but takes to the temperature set, through the concentration of the magnetic flow, generated by the passage of current, a conductor material of a particular form that, by irradiation and convection, in turn heats the PET.
