The plural option loading system for a pneumatic gun. The pneumatic gun has a receiver with the first and second loading port disposed to permit loading either by gravity or forced loading such as from a magazine. The barrel can be locked to the receiver to permit loading through only one of the two ports depending on the orientation in which it is locked to the receiver and permits selective loading through only a selected port at any time.

System for loading a paintball

The pneumatically powered projectile launching device has a bolt located within a body. A front gas chamber in the body has an opening through which the bolt extends into the chamber. The bolt can move forward and backward thereby changing the volume of the front chamber. The bolt has a backward facing working surface. A gas valve in the body selectively releases compressed gas into the chamber. The released gas applies pressure on the backward facing working surface of the bolt to move the bolt forward, and then passes through a passage in the bolt to pneumatically force the projectile to leave the device. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

Pneumatically powered projectile launching device

A compact paintball marker having a valve with a blow back hole and reservoir. The blow back hole and reservoir increase the percentage of the compressed gas that is released in response to a trigger pull that is utilized to push the striker back to a cocked position. This improves the reliability of the automatic re-cocking of the marker even when there is low pressure from the compressed gas source.

A pneumatic gun with easily removable bolt. A bolt is coupled to a bolt pin to be introduced into the rear of a receiver of the pneumatic gun. The striker defines a notch to receive the bolt pin the notch is open ended towards the rear of the gun. A cap is coupled to the striker so that it can rotate between an open orientation and a closed orientation. In the open orientation, the cap defines a slot that aligns with the notch of the striker to permit the bolt pin to enter the notch and the closed orientation of the cap captures the striker within the notch so that the striker and bolt move as a unit.

Paintball gun

A compact paintball marker having an internal paintball holding mechanism, internal compressed gas holding mechanism and distributed striker mechanism. The strike mechanism is divided between two compartments with the striker in a proximal compartment and a biasing mechanism in the distal compartment. The striker is coupled to the biasing mechanism by a striker shaft that may be disposed at least partially external to the housing of the marker.
