A silicone composition which can be used in the production of varnishes that can be applied to supports to reduce the friction coefficient. The silicone composition includes at least one polyorganosilane A (POS) which can be cationically and radically cross-linked by functional cross-linking groups (GER) and a primer C chosen from onium borates. The composition also includes molecules (POS D) which are substituted by secondary functional groups (GFS) caned by silicon atoms and selected from those that include at least one alkoxy and/or epoxy and/or carboxy motif and optionally a charge (e.g. silica). The composition can be used with antifriction varnishes for RTV silicone coatings for material used in airbags, thermal transfer ribbons or packing films

The invention relates to silicone compositions that are used in the production of varnishes that can be applied to supports in order to reduce the friction coefficient. The inventive composition comprises at least one polyorganosiloxane A (POS) which can be cationically and radically cross-linked by functional cross-linking groups (GFR) and a primer C chosen from onium borates, characterized in that the inventive composition also comprises molecules (POS D) which are substituted by secondary functional groups (GFS) carried by silicon atoms and selected from those that include at least one alkoxy and/or epoxy and/or carboxy motif and optionally a charge (e.g. silica). The invention can be used with anti-friction varnishes for RTV silicone coatings for material used in air bags, thermal transfer ribbons or packing films.

A silicone composition and the uses thereof, particularly as a coating on an airbag for protecting the occupant of a vehicle in the event of a collision, are disclosed. The aim is to provide a silicone composition suitable for coating onto the inner surface of the airbag while significantly reducing the weight of the resulting coating layer to form a protective coating having enhanced high-temperature, mechanical and substrate-adhesion properties. Said aim is achieved in that the composition is free of reinforcing mineral fillers and consists of a mixture of (1) at least one polyorganosiloxane with alkenyl groups bound to the silicon; (2) at least one polyorganosiloxane with hydrogen atoms bound to the silicon; (3) a cross-linking catalyst; (4) an adhesion promoter comprising (4.1) at least one alkoxylated organosilane, (4.2) at least one epoxy-functional organosilicon compound, and (4.3) at least one metal chelate and/or metal alkoxide wherein the metal is selected from the group which consists of Ti, Zr, Ge, Li, Mn, Fe, Al and Mg; (5) at least one polyorganosiloxane resin; and (6) optionally at least one cross-linking inhibitor.

Silicone composition for coating substrates made of textile material

The invention concerns a cross-linkable adhesive silicone composition, and the use of said composition for bonding various substrates, comprising: a polyorganosiloxane (POS) with Si-Vi(polydimethylsiloxane &agr;,&ohgr;-dj-Vi) units; a crosslinking POS with SiH units; a platinum catalyst; an adherence promoter comprising vinyltrimethoxysilane, 3-glycidoxy-propyltrimethoxysilane and buryl titanate; and optionally a filler and/or a cross linkage inhibitor and/or an unsaturated POS resin such as MM DD Q or MD Q. The invention aims at providing a highly adhesive glue having, before setting, a low viscosity adapted for easy application on the substrates to be bonded. The invention achieves this by providing a cross-linkable adhesive silicone composition as defined above and characterised in that it has a peeling force F &gE;0.25 N/mm. a viscosity &eegr;&gE;50.10 mPa's at 25&deg;, a tear resistance R &gE;6/mm (ASTM-624A) and a Shore hardness A&gE;35. The invention also concerns the use of said composition as adhesive.

Cross-linkable adhesive silicone composition and use of said composition for bonding various substrates

The invention concerns a coating composition capable of being cold vulcanised (EVF), characterised in that it comprises, in a mixture: (1) at least one polyorganosiloxane having, per molecule, at least two C -C alkenyl groups bound to silicon; (2) at least one polyorganosiloxane having, per molecule, at least two hydrogen atoms bound to silicon; (3) a catalytically effective amount of at least one catalyst, consisting of at least one metal belonging to the platinum group; (4) an adherence promoter; (5) optionally a reinforcing system which can be at least a polyorganosiloxane resin and/or a reinforcing filler; (6) optionally at least one cross-linkage inhibitor; (7) and mineral or organic hollow microspheres.

Silicon composition for coating substrates in supple material, in particular textile

The invention concerns a method for preparing a cold-vulcanisable coating composition (CVE), and the resulting composition. The composition comprises a polyorganosiloxane with alkenyl groups bound to the silicium, a polyorganosiloxane with hydrogen atoms bound to the silicium, a catalyst, a ternary adhesion promoter consisting of an alkoxylated organosilane, an organosilicon compound comprising at least an epoxy radical, a chelate of metal and/or a metal alkoxide, a polyorganosiloxane called extender and having terminal siloxyl units with hydrogeno functions, and a reinforcing silicon filler treated in situ by a compatibility agent in the presence of polyorganosiloxane with alkenyl function, said in situ treatment consisting in preparing a filler suspension by bringing said silicon filler in the presence of the compatibility agent and polyorganosiloxane (1), thereby providing the in situ treatment of the filler. The invention further provides an elastomer with high extensibility.
