The present invention is an absorbent mat, such as a bed pad or a change mat, e.g. for protecting an underlying support from soiling, with a perimeter seal to prevent side-way leakage, as well as method for the formation of such a pad or mat.

Improved system for batching and expelling first and second stacks () consisting of a predetermined number of clips () of disposable wipes from a main production line (S,), including at least a first grouping device () that counts the clips () and transfers the stacks () from the main production line (S,) to a first diverted conveyor line (A,) parallel to the main one, characterized in that it includes at least a second grouping device (), placed downstream from the first one, which counts the clips () and transfers the stacks () from the main production line (S,) to a second diverted conveyor line (B,), parallel to the main line (S,), in which the first diverted conveyor line (A,) develops at a level lower than the second diverted conveyor line (B,).
